Arts for All, formerly VSA, assisted with creating a collab-

orative mosaic art piece with our clients. The mosaic con-

sists of 45 individual small mosaic pieces, each describ-

ing a client , staff or their favorite things. The art is a cen-

terpiece in our program space and a wonderful conversa-

tion piece. Thank you to our continued partnership with

Arts for All.

This fall we will have a 10-week textile and fabric art class

taught by Patrizia from Arts for All. We also will be

starting a monthly drum circle in October with Jim from

Arts for All.

In June, MTILP staff did a team

building event at Devil’s Lake. Staff

hiked, had lunch and competed in

cut throat competitions!

Clients and staff tie dyed

t-shirts, pillow cases and

blankets this summer.

There were designs to

pick from or your own

creation could be made.

All the finished products

turned out great. Clients

were given their shirts to

take home and the pillow

cases and blankets are

used at our day center.

SWO Open House

Taste of Madison Fundraiser

The SWO Open House was on October 3rd and showcased the newly remodeled office and client space at our Nob Hill

location. We had a great turn out and the space looks beautiful. Thank you to all who came to support us at the open

house! We enjoyed sharing the evening with you and getting to know you better!

Ten staff, family and friends volunteered at Taste

of Madison this summer and raised money for

our outdoor space remodel fund. Thank you to

all involved.

MTILP, Inc. is always looking for new opportuni-

ties to raise money for our non-profit. Please

contact Calli Dahl at [email protected] if you have

connections for future opportunities or if you

would like to volunteer with us at a future fund-

raising event. Thank you!

Can you believe it is already fall? We have been busy here at MTILP, Inc. In May, Shane

Fischer along with his daughter, Ashlen, were able to award two graduating students of

Evansville High School the Harry Fischer Memorial Scholarship. It was Harry’s passion to

help individuals whenever possible and MTILP is happy to honor his legacy. It is truly

amazing to see employees, family and new friends continue to volunteer and fundraise to

make this scholarship possible.

In June, MTILP purchased two brand new busses to transport clients to and from the State Program. Also, the

busses are providing additional community outings for our clients to places such as the Mallards, museums,

Schuster’s Farm, and movie theaters to list a few places. Thank you to Nelson Bus Services, First Business Bank,

and our Board of Directors for making this dream possible. Keep a look out for our new red busses on the road.

SWO and the State Program continue to be successful after all the major changes occurring in the beginning of

2019. This wouldn’t have been possible without the employees of MTILP. They truly shined throughout the

transitions and continue to amaze me in their hard work and dedication, not only to MTILP but especially to all

of the clients we serve. I am proud to be able to work with such great and outstanding individuals.
