INTRODUCTION:

State Nodal Cell, Health & Family Welfare Dept. Gandhinagar, District Panchayat,

Bharuch in coordination with General hospital, Bharuch organized First Mega health

Camp for Mukhyamanrti Amrutum Yojana on 24th , October, 2013 at General Hospital

Campus, Bharuch, Dist.: Bharuch from 9.00 hrs. to 17.00 hrs.

OBJECTIVES:

The objective behind the camp was to screen patients, diagnosis & provides necessary

drugs. Patients, who were cover under different health scheme, refer them to nearest

hospital for further treatment of Pvt. MA Empanel Hospital.

Mainly focus on Mukhyamantri Amrutum Yojana. In this tribal area there were many

BPL Families, who cannot afford costly tertiary care treatment. In camp screened them

and refer to nearest empanelled hospital. Also focus on new enrolment of MA

beneficiaries.

ORGANISING COMMITTEE:

As per the mandate of the Standard manual for the Mega health camp the following

organizing committee was constituted:

CAMP PREPARATION & ACTIVITIES:

VENUE:

In order to cover large number of population General hospital, Bharuch was selected.

Bharuch is district place. It was observed that number of people came

easily to camp from hilly areas.

IEC ACTIVITIES:

Around 20 to 25 days before the camp the RSBY DPO and MD India team, PHCs,

CHCs, Asha workers, FHW started visiting local areas & Doing a Workshop. The

aim was to mobilize and disseminate information about the Mukhyamantri Amrutum

Yojana to be undertaken during the Mega Health Camp & different health schemes. The

mobilization was done with help of following activities.

Door to Door distribution of printed MA card & make awareness of MAY with help

of Asha workers.

Distribution of 10000 and above Pamphlets.

Displayed hording in each & every PHCs and Public places.

Public meetings with help of FHW & Asha workers.

Newspaper advertisement.

Mike announcement in each village with given a color code.

PRE MEGA CAMP MEETING WITH COMMITTEE:

A pre mega camp meeting was called on 21st November, 2013 at Jilla Panchayat CDHO

office Bharuch. Alll committee member were present with MD India Staff (DC & RC).

They discuss on all arrangement of first mega health of Mukhyamantri Amrutum

Yojana.

Patient Mobilization:

As per earlier decision, there were number of vehicles of Health staff arranged for

mobilize patients from PHCs & Villages to camp site. All the Members Decided for

GSRTC Vehicles for All the BPL Families Coming & Going Facilities for Mega Health

Camp.

New Enrolment of MA Card & Distribution:

There were number of BPL families visit MA Taluka kiosk which placed in General

Hospital. Many card print there. As per the finalize of the members also Available 4

more TKE’s for in mega Health camp of MA cards distribution and MA card Print.

Registration Desk:

The camp was started at its scheduled time 9.00 hrs. There were 8 registration desks

divided in 4 different stalls. Hospital team & Arogya mitras was registered people &

also assist them.

General Screening:

For easy screening, waiting/seating arrangement in Shamiana, Patients enter in

shamiana & seat there. As per guideline FHW made queue of patients as first come first

serve. There were 6 general screening stall. 3 for Male and 3 for Female. There were 2

Medical Officer & other Para-medical staff in each General screened stall. After

screened, patients refer to specialist Doctors or prescribed drugs.

Specialist Doctors:

When patients refer to specialist doctors, FHWs and MD India DC assist them. 2 FHWs

stand on each specialist doctor’s room. Specialist doctors screened them & if any

investigation needed they refer for laboratory, x-ray, etc. These all primary investigation

available on camp site at Mega health camp cost.

There were many specialist doctors attend mega health camp from nearest districts.

After all investigation done patients back to specialist doctors with their reports. Doctors

checked all reports & advise them for further treatment and refer to MA Empanel Hospital if needed.

Patients who were screened and identify for MAY, District co-ordinators record there detail &

guide them for go to referred empaneled Hospital.

All the Specialist and Govt. Doctors Provide MA Empanel Hospital List as per the site

for Refer a Patient for his or her further treatment.

Private Participant:

There were 2 private empaneled hospitals participated in Mega Health Camp with their

specialist Doctors (Cardiologist, Cancer Surgeon) para medical staff.

2. Dhiraj Hospital, Surat.

3. Sterling Hospital Vadodara,

4. Satyam Hospital Vadodara.

Pharmacy:

All primary drugs were available on 2 various pharmacy stalls on camp site. Drugs

were provided to patient at free of cost. Available drug list is attached.

Visitors:

The camp was visited by Hon’ble Principle Secretory Msr. Avantika Singh (IAS), Dr.

B.P.Itare RDD, Vadodara,

Major specialist Doctors were available.

All primary investigation likes laboratory, ECG, etc.

Drugs were provided to patient at free of cost.

Patient Counselling.

General Facilities:

o Pick and Drop Facility for Patient

o Shamiyana

o Sitting Lounge.

o Fans.

o Pure Drinking Water.

o Hygienic Food.

Highlights

MA Help Desk available for patient to guide and make awareness

regarding MA Yojana.

Hon’ble Principle Secretory Mrs. Avantika Singh visit camp along with

Respected RDD, Vadodara and Team.

RDD Itare Sir Vadodara, and organising committee and MD India Team explain about all

arrangement to Hon’ble Principle Secretory.

Arogyamitras and FHWs registering patients and assist them.

District co-ordinators record patients detail & counsel them for go to

referred empaneled Hospital.

General Hospital and District Panchayat, Bharuch team fulfil all basic

information and assist patients and all participants very well.

Approx. 3500 people took lunch.
