• The site is on a landfill area. Hence the soil Is loose.

• The soil cannot sustain the load of a multistoried building, hence a pile foundation is to be used.

• On using piled foundation , the project cost runs beyond the budget

As part of JNURM the Two G+2 towers were constructed in this location in 2008.

A study of its current condition and Relevant feedback would provide sufficient insight on the impact of this project.

• Only 2 towers of the project was constructed due to unavailability of funds.

• The 2 Tower were designed to be part of system , hence they failed to function independently.

Upon comparison of various options , certain goals were set

• To find alternative Public/private Sponsorship to supplement the Govt Funding.

• To Convince the people about the advantages of multi-storied buildings , as well as following a ‘Need’ Based Design Approach.

• Better Technology (like prefabrication) to be used for constructing multi-floor buildings on the soft soil of the site.

• Going for single storied building would be highly ineffective due to the lack of land
