Shtokman GCF is situated in the Russian sector of Barents sea, it was opened in 1988 • Distance from the coast of the Kola peninsula: 550km • The depth of the sea: 320-340 km • Total zone: 1600 km2
Unique resources • Raw: gas with low condensate • Explored resources are 3.9 trillion. m3 of gas and about 56 million tons of gas
condensate (category C1) • Depth of occurrence: 1800-2500 m
Development of the deposit • Three stages – 71.7 billion m3 of gas per year and 650 thousands of condensate
per year • First stage – 23.7 billion m3 of gas per year and 218 thousands of condensate per
year
