The author of the classic “The Little Prince” was born in Lyon, France on June 29, 1900 and debuted as a writer while working as a pilot. “The Little Prince” was written during his exile in America during World War II and was published in 1943. The following year, Saint-Exupery passed away while flying a reconnaissance mission from the Mediterranean island of Corsica.
