Accompanying themselves on guitar, claw hammer banjo, ukulele, bass, and washboard, they have brought their uniquely warm sound and energetic stage presence. Their latest CD Sugar Shack debuted on North American Folk DJ Charts at #2. JULY 7, 14, 21, 28 Tues. – Greenfield Military Band 7:00 - 8:00 pm Our local musical jewel performs Broadway hits and pops. The Greenfield Military Band began in 1904 when the Town of Greenfield ap- propriated $700 to begin a Town Band. As socially conscious acoustic musicians and storytellers, the Harrises have been “walking the talk” for over 30 years, performing modern and historical songs that explore societal ills and proffer positive social messages. Their latest CD, “Resurrection Day,” binds these themes into a profoundly moving personal odyssey of inspiration and hope. AUGUST 6, 13, 20, 27 Thurs. – Coop Concerts 6:00 - 8:00 pm 23 SUNDAYS IN THE PARK The Alternate Routes 6:00 pm The Alternate Routes is an American rock band who has been writing songs, playing shows, and touring in their trusty Ford Econoline Van for over a decade. Comprised of vocalist Tim Warren and guitarist Eric Donnelly, these Connecticut boys have brought their music to venues across the U.S., Canada and Europe, and spend a great deal of time writing and recording in their home away from home, Nashville. “Tim has a big voice, and I play a big guitar. That’s what we do. All these years later that’s the only thing that hasn’t changed.” SEPTEMBER 19 Sat. – John Putnam Fiddler’s Festival Noon - 4:00 pm Bring your fiddle, guitar, banjo, bass, harmonica or other instruments and join informal jams. OCTOBER 4 Sat. – 2 nd Annual Franklin County Out of the Darkness Walk 9:30 am - 1:30 pm Presented by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Community Walks are proof that when people work together, they can make big changes.
