Our Music Medals Ensemble Pieces contain both original works and imaginative arrangements for duets, trios and quartets in a wide variety of styles. From traditional favourites such as excerpts from Handel’s Messiah, Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and Haydn’s Surprise Symphony to arrangements of more contemporary works by artists such as Coldplay, Robbie Williams and Kaiser Chiefs, your pupils are guaranteed to find repertoire that will delight, challenge and inspire.

Progressively graded – Copper, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum – these volumes provide excellentensemble material for concerts andfestivals as well as for Music Medalsassessments. What’s more, manyof the pieces are suitable for mixed-ability groups, allowing everyone totake part at their level.

Our Music Medals Options Practice Books help to develop essential musicianship skills and offer a fun way to practise and improve pupils’ aural, improvisation and sight-reading abilities. They also provide a wealth of practice material to use with your pupils in preparation for their Music Medals assessment. Music Medals are available for most commonly taught instruments and each assessment covers three activities: playing together, playing solo and musicianship skills. Depending on level, a Music Medal takes between five and ten minutes to complete and can therefore take place during a normal lesson.

Performances are filmed, marked by the teacher and moderated by ABRSM. Successful candidates are awarded a certificate and, of course, a Music Medal!
