New Idea! Muskoka Family Network

Needs Your Help

We have 2 new ideas for the upcoming newsletters:

1. We want to create a page in our newsletter a question and answer page . Families

would submit their questions. When we create the newsletter, we will ask the questions and

in the following newsletter we will share the answers from the families. This will be a create

way to learn what other families have been doing and what creative ways that they have

turned issues into solutions.

2. Share inspirational stories. We want to hear from you. We want to hear stories from

you so that we can share these with other families. You can share the story, share a

photo, be creative.

What do we need from you?

1. Creative Name for the pages in our newsletter:

Question and Answer Page

Stories

2. Share your questions and stories so we can start them in our next newsletter.

If we could have your submissions by Friday September 16th. You can submit them to

[email protected].

Employment Myth Buster:

Myth: People with disabilities are unable to meet job standards and performance making

them an employment risk.

Fact: A DuPont study conducted a survey of over 811 employees with disabilities and found

90% rated average or better in job performance compared to 95% for employees without dis-

abilities. A similar DuPont study which involved 2,745 employees with disabilities found that

92% of employees with disabilities rated average or better in job performance compared to

90% of employees without disabilities.
