Thermocouple Wire ProjectProject: Develop a self contained system to distribute thermocouple wire to the tunnel kiln for recording temperature data.

Step 1: Discuss initial design ideas with supervisor and other engineers involved

Step 2: Develop a CAD print to confirm the initial design and make changes if needed

Page 12: My co-op Presentation 1

Thermocouple Wire ProjectStep 3: Order required parts and outsource pieces that cannot be made in house. This requires getting a quote from a vendor.

Step 4: Fabricate components of the unit. Shown is a wheel made by an outside vendor.

Page 13: My co-op Presentation 1

Thermocouple Wire ProjectStep 5: Final assembly and installation!

From the CAD print, the unit consists of the wheel, rotary power supply, roller bearing, and an adjustable base post mounted to a movable pallet.

The design is functional and self contained for storage when not in use.
