Achievements and Interests Completing my Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh award has provided me with the ability to work well in group situations by motivating and encouraging my team. It has also enabled me to communicate well
and develop my interpersonal and leadership skills. I am still working to complete my Gold award.
Completing a short course at Central St Martins University, titled ‘Cutting Edge Fashion’, enabled me to learn interesting draping and pattern cutting skills- I also produced a creative design development sketchbook alongside this.
During my first year of university I was a student representative of my year group, which involved attending monthly meetings with University staff and students.
A particular interest of mine is fashion blogging, this is where I derive and collect a lot of my inspiration. I have my own Tumblr and Wordpress which I constantly update.
Networking is an interest which is important to me. Twitter and Facebook has allowed me to join groups and follow fashion designers and brands which are inspirational to me as a designer.
Having travelled in Europe, America and Canada I have been able to make the most of these travel opportunities for recreational and educational purposes.
