Sometimes it’s easierto dumb down my work for a dumbed downworld so that my life will be smoother.Sometimes it is easier to sugar coat thetruth. Sometimes it’s easier to go with theflow. Sometimes it’s easier to take the safetynet of mediocrity. Sometimes it’s easier notto mess with the status quo. Of course, it’ssoul destroying to settle. Luckily I hang outwith heretics. People who are asuncomfortable in their own skin as I am. It’sexhausting, though. Their truth andstandards are so high that they leave megasping and battling to keep up. They neverride the train of conformity and comfort likeI sometimes do. They’re alwayschallenging. Testing. Pushing. Changing.Like W. Edwards Deming, they get, that“change is not mandatory; neither issurvival”. They pull the rest of us out ofthe quagmire of ignorance so that we dohave a chance to survive. They’re sitting in your churches,mosques and synagogues. They’re in yourfamily. They’re at your work. They’re easyto spot but hard to emulate. They’re scarybecause they have a truth about them thatcan be intimidating.
