My Extraterrestrial Pal

Story Concept:

A seventeen year old high school student, Khayru Floyd, lives a common life with hisolder sister, Kimiko. Though a very inexpressive and quiet- type guy, hes adored by his teachers

and classmates for he is an intelligent and humble person.

Hes life was then moved when an unexpected affecting event happened. He met Ryusei,

a being from outer space, whom he found in the seashore lying. Khayru took care of her and help

her find ways to get her back home. Unexpectedly, they made a funny and unforgettable journey

of friendship.

Characters:

Khayru- an intelligent and humble person who met a being from Planet Chuva named Ryusei.

Ryusei- a smart, funny and pretty alien that made friends with Khayru

(Ryusei was cleaning her fathers laboratory when she accidentally opened a circular, giant

machine. Thought it was broken, she decided to fix it by herself.)

Ryusei: Oops! I think I need to use my mechanical mind before dad scold me because of my

carelessness.

(Dropping the laser broom, she immediately went inside the giant machine and planned to fix

different electrical wirings.)

Ryusei: (Sighed) Maybe if I connect this gold wire to silver wire it would be...

(Beam of light scattered)

Ryusei: Aaaaaaaaaaah!

(Disco music played)

Ryusei: (blinked) Huh? What the...oh, I thought Im gonna die. Hmmm, the music sounds great.

It makes me dance. (Dancing) Yeah!

(Because of unawareness, she accidentally pushed a button by her elbow. The door closed and

lights went on. She was shocked and nervous.)

(disco music stopped)

(clunk!)

Ryusei: (gasping) I know this is only a joke too. Now whats happening? Looks like I made a big

mistake.

(An engine roared and explosion came next)

Ryusei: Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!

Scene 2: The Breakfast

(Khayrus House, Narita, Japan)

(It was a cold morning. The birds chirping, there was an annoying sound from a hungry cat,

honks of siopao vendor and the aroma of burned scrambled eggs.)

Khayru: Kimiko! Whats that awful smell? Dont tell me you almost burn our house again.

Kimiko: Oops! Im sorry, Khay. I just want to cook breakfast for you. (Shyly smiling)

Khayru: Thanks, bust how many times I told you not to cook breakfast for me. Youll just burn

our house.

Kimiko: But... but...

Khayru: (Stopping her) No more buts! Sit down here and Ill cook breakfast. From now on

youre ban in the kitchen.

Kimiko: (Sighed) Ok.

(After a long discussion, the two were eating their breakfast. The long silence was broken by

another discussion.)

Kimiko: Khayru, I have something to inform you.

Khayru: (chewing)What?

Kimiko: Ill be gone for two weeks. Ill be leaving this afternoon.

Khayru: Huh? But...

Kimiko: I have to get back to work.

Khayru: But you had just arrived two days ago and youll be leaving again?

Kiniko: Khay, what do you expect from my work? Im a flight attendant. This is how my work

works.

Khayru: (sighing)

Kimiko: I know youll miss me but this is for you...for us.

Scene 3: The Meteor

(Narita, Japan)

(From a distant, there was a bright speed of light in the sky.)

Ryusei: (Yelling) Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Daaaaaaaad! Heeeelp! Wait. Calm down Ryusei. Think.

Think. Think. There should be an emergency landing button here. There.

(Pushed a blue button) (Toinkz!)

(The engine roared fiercefuly and made the giant circular machine went in circles.)

Ryusei: (Dizzy) Woah! I dont think thats an emergency landing button. Ouch! My head hurts. I

think Im gonna die.

(Ryusei fainted after the dizzy flight. The giant circular machine stopped spinning and crashed

on top of a small cliff besides Karuge Sea.)

Scene 4: The Alien

(Narita Academy, Japan)

(Its almost 5pm when Mr. Hitoshi dismissed his class.)

Mr. Hitoshi: Tomorrow, well going to have our new lesson in music. So you better have an

advance reading. Ok. Thats it for now. Goodbye and see you soon.

(Everyone rose and bid farewell)

(Bell rang)

Nokori: Hey, Khayru, thanks for teaching me in Calculus a while ago. Youre really a genius.

Nokori: (Stunned) Wow! What book are you now?

Nokori: Woah! That is a best selling. Youre really a genius.

Khayru: (smiled) ok, I have to go now. Bye!

(It was a long tiring day again. There was already a glimpse of sunset when Khayru was riding

his bicycle as he went home. He decided to take the shortcut at the Karuge seashore. Wind

strikes his face as he saw from the corner of his eye an odd looking unconscious girl lying

besides a big rock. He stepped out of his bike and hurriedly run toward the girl.)

Khayru: (Catching his breath) miss, are you ok?

Ryusei: (Woke up then sat up)

Khayru: Miss, are you okay?

Ryusei: (Shocked) Waaah!!!

Khayru: (Shocked) Waaah!!!

Ryusei: (Gasping)

Khayru: Who are you?

Ryusei: Who are you?

Khayru: Where are you from?

Ryusei: Where are you from?

Khayru: What are you doing here?

Ryusei: What are you doing here?

Khayru: (Annoyed) Are you an alien?

Ryusei: Huh?! Im not an alien. Youre an alien.

Khayru: What?!

Ryusei: Look at you, you wear weird clothes, your hair is black and spiky, your skin is pale, you

smell odd, and your eyes, though its beautiful, are not purple. So dont call me an alien.

Khayru: But Im not an alien. This is who I am. Im a human. Look at you, you wear superhero

outfit, your hair bright bronze, you smell weird and your eyes are purple. Now who do

you think is an alien?

Ryusei: You!

Khayru: Huh?! Maybe you are out of your mind?

Ryusei: Im not insane.

Khayru: (Turning back) Whatever. Im going home.

Ryusei: (Dizzy) Ouch my head.

Khayru: (Looking back) Woah! Are you alright? Do you want me to bring you to the hospital?

Ryusei: (Dizzy) Food. Food.

Khayru: (Sighed)

Scene 5: Naughty Girl

(At Khayrus House)

(Khayru carried Ryusei and took her to his house. He left his bicycle at the shore. He laid her

down in their couch and started calling his sister.)

Khayru: (Yelling) Kimiko? Im home. I got something to tell you.

(A length of silence)

Khayru: Oh! I forgot she left. I cant call her. (Sighed)

Ryusei: (Woke up) Ouch my...

Khayru: Are you feeling better now?

Ryusei: (Gasped) Hey! Youre...

Khayru: Im not an alien. Ok?

Ryusei: Oh? Where am I?

Khayru: You are at my house. Heres your food. Take it and after this you may go back home.

Ryusei: (Taking the food) What is this?

Khayru: It is pizza and orange juice.

Ryusei: (Chewing) Hmm. Tastes good! What kind of planet is this?

Khayru: Earth, (whispered) you are really an alien.

Ryusei: (yelled) No Im not!

Khayru: Ugh. Fine. Just calm down.

Ryusei: (smiling)

Khayru: Ok. You can stay at my home for a while. You can use my older sisters room while

shes not home. (gave some clothes) here change your clothes then go to sleep.

Tomorrow you can go back home.

Ryusei: But... Mr. Alien...

Khayru: No buts and please dont call me an alien.

Ryusei: (blinked) Ok.

(Before Khayru go to his room and study, he directed Ryusei to Kimikos room. Ryusei went

inside and decided no to sleep first, she explored the room: sat on the bed, looking outside from

the window, smelling Kimikos perfumes, and scanning different cookbooks on the shelf swiftly.

While reading she saw a creature crawling on her feet that made her jump.)

Ryusei: (surprised) Aaaaaaaaaahh!!! Whats that? Help! Aaaahhh...

(She immediately ran as fast a she could to get out of the room. Unnoticed, she opened a dark

room. She went inside. She jumped in someones bed and pulled the quilt and sank herself

besides somebody. She was trembling with fear and in a minute she fell a sleep immediately.)

Scene 6: The Cockroach

(At Khayrus House)

(It was refreshing morning after a tiring yesterday and impossible dreams of meeting someone

from the outer space. The goodnight sleep of Khayru was broken when he felt someone is

breathing at his back.)

Khayru: (turning at his back) Waaaaaahhh!

Ryusei: (awaken by the noise) Uh? Aaaaaaah! What are you doing here?

Khayru: Wait, shouldnt I be asking that? What are you doing in my room?

Ryusei: (blinked) Oh? I went here...

Khayru: I told you to sleep at my older sisiters room, right? Then, what the hell are you doing

here?

Ryusei: I was frightened.

Khayru: Frightened? Why?

Ryusei: Last night, I cant sleep. So I decided to read all the cook books of your sister. Then

suddenly, there was a creature crawling at my feet that made me shrieked. When it flew

towards me, I ran as fast as I could, afraid that it will going to eat me.

Khayru: You read all the cook books the whole night? All that 105 books?

Ryusei: Uhmm. Actually, not the whole night. Only for 3 hours.

Khayru: Woah. That is quiet fast. (He giggled)

Ryusei: Why are you laughing?

Khayru: (smiling) You arent afraid that I let you stay for the night here. And just because of ...

a cockroach... youre frightened? Hahahahaha!

Ryusei: (shyly smiled)

Khayru: By the way, are you not going home? You can go now if you want to.

Ryusei: Uhm, I want to but I cant.

Khayru: Why?

Ryusei: The crazy machine that took me here got a severe damage so I cant go home now.

Khayru: If that so...

(Khayru immediately got up and went to his sisters room. When he got back, Ryusei is still

sitting on the bed.)

Khayru: Here, take a bath and wear this.

Ryusei: Whats this?

Khayru: Its kimikos old uniform. Im going to take you to school.

Ryusei: School? A School is a place for teaching education or training.

Khayru: (surprised) Exactly!

Ryusei: But, Why?

Khayru: I dont want you to leave here alone after reading all the cookbooks. You might burn

this place down.

Ryusei: Huh?!

Scene 7: First Day with an Alien Girl

(Narita Academy

(The two were already prepared. Khayru was then stunned when he saw Kimikos uniform fit on

her. He rode his bicycle that he recovered last night. The both rode the bicycle. Ryusei sat in

front while Khayru worked on the pedals. Another conversation started when a thought came on

their way.)

Khayru: By the way, we came along here but we didnt know each other yet. Im Khayru. Do

you have a name?

Ryusei: Of course I do. What do you think of me an alien?

Khayru: (giggles)

Ryusei: My name is Ryusei.

Khayru: Interesting name.

Ryusei: My father told me it means a meteor.

Khayru: Wow! Very unique.

Ryusei: Uhm... May I ask a question?

Khayru: Whats that?

Ryusei: What do school looked like?

Khayru: Youll see.

(They arrived at the school. When they entered the hall, everyone started looking at them.Khayru whispered at Ryusei.)

Khayru: (Whispered) Im going to my classes. You can roam around here as long as you want.

We will going to meet in this place later. Ok?

Ryusei: Ok.

(Ryusei roamed around the campus. Then, she heard a beautiful symphony in a room. Mr.

Hitoshis class was on going when Ryusei peeked on the room. Mr.Hitoshi noticed her and

stopped the musical to let her enter. Khayru was shocked.)

Mr. Hitoshi: Miss, youre new here right? Are you scheduled here?

Ryusei: I like the song. Its the Symphony of Remnant Sakura, right?

Mr. Hitoshi: (Astonished) You love music. Huh?! Do you know how to play some chords.

Ryusei: Of course.

(As Ryusei sat in front of the piano, Khayru was gesturing to stop her but Ryusei continued. A

complicated but lovely music played. Everyone was astonished.)

Scene 8: A Friend

(Khayrus House)

(An extraordinary day had gone. Khayru and Ryusei went home. From then on, Khayru decided

to keep her stay with him wherever he go.)

Khayru: Ryusei, tomorrow our school will be helding the Starry Night Festival. My Adviser

Ms. Paras assigned me for the setting. You can come in the Festival if you want.

Ryusei: Of course Ill come and I want to help you.

Khayru: (surprised) Gee, thanks, but why?

Ryusei: Im a friend. A friend is one who shows esteem and affection; a close companion. Thats

Mr. Webster says.

Khayru: (giggled) I have a surprise for you tomorrow.

Scene 9: The Festival

(Narita Academy)

(Everyone was very busy preparing for the Festival. Khayru and Ryusei were fixing the stage

and the stores. Ryusei was really a great help to Khayru for she moves swiftly. They talked and

laughed as they work as they were friends long ago.)

Khayru: May I ask a question?

Ryusei: Whats that?

Khayru: Uhmm... Hows the circular machine? Do you want me to help you fix it? Im willing

to.

Ryusei: No, thanks. Im working on it.

Khayru: You mean youre fixing it? Since when?

Ryusei: The day you told me to roam, I went there to fix it and maybe tomorrow I can go back

home.

Khayru: (deep sigh)

Ryusei: Why?

Khayru: Nothing. Oh, its already 6pm. The Festival will soon start. Lets go.

(There were lots of students enjoyed the festival. There were games, foods, laughs, plays and

other different events. Khayru gave Ryusei Kimikos Kimono (a tradition to wear during

festivals). The two enjoyed also. They took pictures and eat together. Khayru took her at the

shore and showed his surprised to her.)

Khayru: I have something to show you.

Ryusei: What is it?

(As Khayru pushed the button on the controller, there were bright lights exploded and scattered

in the sky. Different colors and shapes stunned Ryusei as she watched them. They sat together in

the shore.)

Ryusei: Whats that?

Khayru: Obviously, its fireworks. (Giggled)

Ryusei: (groaned) I know what it is but Im asking what is that for?

Khayru: Its a gift for you. Thank you for your help and for being the greatest gift I ever

received.

Ryusei: Woah! Thanks.

Khayru: I knew youll love it.

Ryusei: Thank you for being a friend despite of our differences. Youll always be the pal that

lives inside my heart. Ill never forget you.

Khayru: Me too. Lets just enjoy this evening together.

(They sat closely together, side by side as they watched the fireworks.)

Ryusei: Aack!!

Khayru: (surprised) What was that?

Ryusei: (lifted her hand) Whats this?

Khayru: (shocked) Oh my! Here, let me help you get rid of that nasty crab.

(Khayru immediately grabbed her wrist and carefully took off the small crab that stung her

finger. He gently took her finger and sipped the bleeding part)

Ryusei: W...wait! Why are you eating me?

Khayru: (pulled himself and giggled) Eating you? Im just sipping it so you wont lose too

much blood.

Ryusei: (blinked) Huh?

(As they went home, Khayru carried Ryusei at his back the time she fell asleep. Khayru laid her

down on his bed, grabbed two pillows and headed down to the living room.)

Scene 10: Goodbye Pal

(Narita, Japan)

(The time was very fast. After a long day with an alien, it was again a very unusual morning.

Sunlight gently touched his skin and a back pain electrified him as he woke up)

(Blagaaag!) (toinkz!)

Khayru: Ouch! My back. Yeah. I slept in a sofa, no wonder why I fell from it.

(paused)

Khayru: No! She cant be leaving right now. No. Not today.

(He hurriedly ran upstairs. He felt shocked and upset when he saw his room empty. He saw

Kimikos old uniform and kimono neatly foldred on his bed. Tears almost burst out from him as

he ran toward the garage and took his bicycle)

Khayru: (talking to himself) No, it cant be. Please, not yet. I havent told her yet that... Im ...

Im sure about what I feel.

(As he reached at the Karuge shore, he ran hurriedly to the trees longing to see the circular

machine. Panting as he arrived, he saw a machine flying far away that he couldnt even

recognize it)

Khayru: (frustrated; head down) No. Please come back! You didnt say goodbye to me and...

and...I havent... told you...

(paused)

Ryusei: (blinked; curious) Told me what?

Khayru:(Surprised) Waaaah! What...

Ryusei: (smiling) You havne told me you also have a flying macine here on earth. What do they

called?

Khayru: What... do you mean? I thought you...

(Turning his gaze up in the sky)

Ryusei: (confused)...

Khayru: My... Im so stupid! Its only an airplane.

Ryusei: Aaah.. an airplane. Now I know. It looks cool in person. Its hard to picture out what

Mr. Webster said. Hey, by the way, what are you going to tell me?

Khayru: (blushing and nervous) Uhm. No. Nothing...

Ryusei: (smiled) Ok. So, are we late for school?

Khayru: (still blushing) Uhm.. N...not yet.

Ryusei: Then lets go.

(Ryusei grabbed his hands and went on.)

Scene 11: Nokoris Feeling

(Narita Academy, Japan)

(Khayru and Ryusei arrived at school just in time. As they approach their classroom, a short

haired girl probably one of their classmate, waited at the door and greeted Khayru shyly. Ryusei

recognized something to her.)

Nokori: (blushing) G...good morning, Khayru!

(turned away swiftly)

Khayru: (smiled) Good morning too Nokori! Uhm, is there something wrong? Youre weird

today.

Nokori: (red face) N...nothing. Its just .... uhm...

(Suddenly some of their classmates approached Nokori and gave her a warm hug.)

Classmates: (chorus) Happy Birthday, Nokori!

Khayru: (surprised) So its your Khayru: birthday. Happy birthday!

Nokori: (shyly) Uhm... Thanks, Khayru.

Ryusei: Wow! Happy Birthday too!

Nokori: Hmm.

(As Ms. Paras started her class, Ryusei just stared at Khayru. Khayru felt conscious and weird

the ways she looks at him. He tore a piece of paper and wrote something.)

Khayru: (writing) Whats wrong? Are you alright?

Ryusei: (replied) Youre lucky!

Khayru: (replied) Huh? What do you mean?

Ryusei: (replied) She likes you!

Khayru: (confused) Huh? Who?

Ryusei: (replied) Nokori!

Khayru: (shocked)...

Ryusei: (smiled; two thumbs up)

Khayru: (whispered) No it cant be. Were only friends.

Ryusei: (writing) Do you already like somebody, eh?

Khayru: (replied) Unrequited love...

Ryusei: (confused) Huh?

Khayru: (whispered) Nevermind.

Ms. Paras: (interrupted) Ahem. Is there something wrong Mr. Floyd?

Khayru: (gasped) Nothing, maam.

(Khayru and Ryusei went home together. Khayru headed in his room while Ryusei ate her

human made meal. As Khayru finishing his notes, Ryusei peeked inside his room.)

Khayru: You can come in if you want.

Ryusei: Youre not yet asleep?

Khayru: Why? Do you plan to sneak-sleep with me again?

Ryusei: (groaned) No. Im not!

Khayru: (giggled) Then what do you want?

Ryusei: (sat on the bed) Uhm.. can you tell me something more about your world?

Khayru: (smiled) Ok.

(He told different things, events and people regarding to their world. Then in just several minutes

he realized hes not anymore talking to somebody. Ryusei fell asleep. Khayru pulled his quilt

and covered half of her. He grabbed his pillows, closed the door and headed down in the living

room.)

Scene 12: Surprise

(Khayrus House)

(It was a cold morning and everyone in the house was still asleep. Every room seems empty, the

cold wind playfully passed through the trees and the stillness was broken by a rushing feet

upstairs into Khayrus room.)

Kimiko: (opened Khayrus room) Khay, Im baWaaaaaah!

Ryusei: (awaken) Whos thaWaaaaaah! Alien invasion! Help!

Khayru: (awaken; immediately went upstairs) What was that? (paused) Kim... Kimiko?!

Kimiko: (confused) Khay, whos that?

Khayru: (hesitated) I... can explain.

Kimiko: (smirked)

Khayru: Whats with that look?

Kimiko: Aaaaiiiiiiieeeeeee!! Khayru, you didnt tell me about your girlfriend. So whats her

name? Where does she lives? Is she great?

Khayru: Huh? Kimiko, stop it!

Kimiko: Huh?

(Ryusei got up. Afraid and confused, she ran at the back of Khayru)

Ryusei: (whispered) Hey, be careful. Its an alien invasion.

Khayru: (clear throat) Fine. Lets settle this. Ryusei, shes not an alien, shes my sister, Kimiko.

Kimiko, I have something to admit. Shes a being from outer space. I saw her lying at the

Karuge shore. I know its hard to believe it but

Kimiko: (surprised) Cool. I didnt know your type is a being from outer space.

Khayru: (blushing) Cut it off, sis!

Kimiko: Anyways, Ryusei, your welcome here. Then I will cook breakfast for the two of you.

Khayru: I told you youre ban in the kitchen.

Kimiko: Please.

Khayru: No.

Ryusei: I will help her. Ive read all her cookbooks, I can teach her.

Khayru: Fine.

(The two girls enjoyed cooking together.)

Scene 13: A Date

(Narita, Japan)

(Its the first Saturday with an alien. Since there were no classes, Khayru decided to hang out

with his friend, Ryusei. Kimiko refused to join them. She needed a long rest from work. Khayru

took Ryusei to places where he knew she would be happy.)

Khayru: Lets go eat ice cream.

Ryusei: Sure! But whats that?

Khayru: (giggled) It tastes like your blood.

Ryusei: Huh?

Khayru: Just kidding.

(They went to the ancient park, they ate ice cream, fly kite and they went to a small pet shop

where they enjoyed a lot)

Ryusei: (whispered) Are they aliens too? But they are different from you.

Khayru: They are not aliens, neither me. They are called pets or sometimes called friends.

Ryusei: Friends?

Khayru: They also make you feel comfortable and happy. They have their own ways on how

they can make you happy.

(Ryusei was amazed as she watch the little brown pup chasing his tail. Khayru saw her smiles inthe corner of his eyes. Then he checked his watch and called Ryusei.)

Khayru: Its already 6pm. I think we can go to our next destination.

(They rode a cab and went to a place where Khayru planned to.)

Ryusei: Where are we?

Khayru: We are in Kojiki Observatory.

Ryusei: Whats in here?

Khayru: (smiled) Its a place where youll enjoy. I already asked Mr. Hoji if we can use his lab.

Ryusei: Aah..

(The two entered a lab where a gigantic telescope can be found. Khayru led her in the seat of

viewing the telescope. )

Khayru: Here, we can view how a comet passes by my planet. I think its about time.

(Ryusei viewed the comet as Khayru watched her attractive reactions. She was stunned by the

beautiful and bright tail of it. She was then reminded of her father... her home.)

Ryusei: Uhm.. I have something to tell you.

Khayru: Go ahead

Ryusei: (smiled) I missed my home.

Khayru: (smiled back) I know you do.

Ryusei: (head down) But I havent finished fixing that stupid machine.

Khayru: (held her chin up) Dont sayI.We havent finished fixing it. Ill help you.

Ryusei: Thanks!!

(They stayed in the observatory until the sky was filled with all kinds of constellations. They told

stories and shared jokes.)

Scene 14: Again

(Narita, Japan)

(The sun has not yet arise when Khayru and Ryusei went into the cliff to fix the circular

machine. Khayru was astonished when he saw whats inside of the machine. He tried to help her

fix them. He volunteered to buy materials and parts for it if theres any. He also brought their

lunch there. Khayru helped her with all his might. He learned how to operate such things. They

already calculated on what time they would be done on it. Its already 4pm in the afternoon when

they finished it. Mixed emotions came rushing through them. Its very good to know that theyre

done but theres a sad part because they knew the end was near.)

Ryusei: I really want to thank you, Khayru. I dont want to say that this is the end but I want to

end our friendship unfinished. I dont want you to see me crying when I left. I will

cherish our memories in my heart... I will cherish you forever.

Khayru: Ryusei, Thanks for everything. Well see each other again, right?

Ryusei: Again and again!

(As the door closed the only response she saw was his smiles. The engine roared fiercefuly and

in just a snap its already as high as an airplane. Khayru sat in the sand watching it as if a slowly
