My summer saga

It is Midsummer’s Eve, the year is 1886. Granny meets her hus-band to be, on the meadow below Nygården. He is from England and she is lost in his charms. She follows him to India far and beyond. She still has her clothes marked by the farmer culture, patched, stitched, and made-over. Well in India, she mixes her patching style with her newfound friends billowing silk, thin cot-ton fabrics, laces and ribbons from South Asia. So she creates her own fashion, and a summer saga without end... Ewa i Wallas Spring / Summer 2015 collection finds inspiration in the Swedish saga traveling to South Asia. This season Ewa i Walla takes back the popular fabric Kitchen check. A very light and comfortable fabric in voile, perfect for hot summer days. You’ll also find fabrics that have different qualities of linen, lace and silk. Notice the detail of small coloured buttons on the garments that gives it another exciting expression. The collection has delicate pastel colours and are easy to combine regardless of model or material.This mixed with the mystique of black, beautiful ribbons and embroidery makes the collection complete.

COTTON 1 The Ewa i Walla cotton with a crushed look communicate and origin from the old Swedish tradition where you often had the same feeling in cotton found in bed linen. The crispy look on the cotton is charming and genuine.

COTTON 2This satin weaved cotton leaves a tender touch against your skin. The feel is almost silky and fall perfectly on your body creating a fabulous fit.

ORGANZAOur organza is a cross between hard voile and voile. It gives a playful look. We have the organza in our undergarments, a beautiful skirt and dress.

HARD VOILEThe hard voile creates a hard surface on the garment where you easily can create fabulous crush and volume that is daring and extravagant.

VOILEThe voile is airy and light, it is falling gentle and following the body’s natural flow.

SILKThe silk with a crushed look bring a luxurious feeling to the collection.

LINEN The Linen represents the simple country life, but of course with a twist. A must have material on a hot summer day.

LINEN TWILL The Linen twill gives a rougher look of the clothes with ragged edges. Often seen with velvet details in this collection.

PAINTED LINENPainted Linen in a gray and creme color. It is masculine, patched and mended.

COARSE LINENCoarse Linen with a knitted look.

BLUE FLOWER The flower print is inspired by a very old doll’s dress. The flowers creating a print with a very sweet character ready to be mixed with the solid materials.

KITCHEN CHECK This year we see again our popular design in the kitchen check. This time in red and voile. A very light and comfortable fabric, perfect for a romantic summer look.

STRIPED VOILEStriped voile in blue and white for a classic summer feeling.

STRIPED COTTONStriped cotton fabric colors is sugar sweet, like candy. It gives a girly look that is playful.

Details for this season, you will find colored buttons in a playful combination. We have printed patches, linen border, ribbons with inspiration from India and also old

european farmer culture. The printed monogram is a memory from Paris.
