Question 1:

This graph shows how the majority of people who answered my survey were male. In my magazine I'm targeting more male audience than female. Although they are my main audience I do not want to exclude it to only males as this could lower the audience completely. With the making of the magazine it could show how females would view my magazines genre.

Question 2:

Here in this diagram it shows that the majority of people are older teenagers/ young adults.Using this information I can improve on ideas for the magazine because I am in the age bracket of 16-17. Especially as I am a male as well I can base my magazine more around the customers that would read it.

Choice of MusicStraight away on the graph it is obvious there is a favorite genre of music. With indie being the most popular I plan to use this and include more music in this genre in my magazine. This will help gain more audience as well because its such a liked genre. In the survey I asked to name the genre you listen to, if you chose other. The results were:Hip Hop, Heavy Metal and Pop. This shows that there is more influence in the mainstream music and that I should use more popular music on the front cover possibly.

How Often Do You Listen To Music

In this question I found out that actually not many people buy magazines frequently. This may be due to other platforms of media being more evident now a days. To compensate for this I plan to include Facebook and Twitter parts in my magazine to help gain more readers.

Do you read music magazinesHere there is an obvious sign that the magazine purchases are declining. With nearly half of the people asked saying they do not read magazines, id have to include other forms of media in my magazine to attract people such as social network and YouTube.I also asked to name the magazines they read, they answered: Mojo, NME, Kerrang and Q. This tells me that they are reading the magazines I am aiming my magazine to compete with.

money willing to spend

Series1

The majority of people are willing to spend up to £3.00 this shows that most people have some form of a disposable income. However there are some results that say I would be able to gain more money from others because some are even willing to spend above £5.00!This will help me when it comes to choosing what goes into my magazine as I wont be able to put expensive adverts in which the customers won’t be able to buy.

Adverts in the MagazineThis graph helps tell me what adverts to show in the magazine. The results show that people are much more interested in who's performing and all the latest technology than they are about fashion and games. This tells me that they are music based fans and are buying the magazine In the interest of reading about music and not getting distracted by other elements of the magazine.

what to expect in the magazine

Here in this graph it shows that music interviews and new releases are the main things that people want to see in magazines. Next from that is music guides. Using this information will help me design my own front cover with those particular topics as my plugs and features for the magazine.
