Newsletter: November, 2010 Forgiveness and Bonfire Night Remember, remember, the 5th of November The Gunpowder Treason and Plot I know of no reason why the Gunpowder Treason Should ever be forgot... Bonfire Night, otherwise known as Guy Fawkes Night, is based on the events in 1608, when a group of Catholic conspirators attempted to blow up the British parliament in order to restore Catholicism to England. Unfortunately for them, they were found out by their own hand: one of their own sent a letter to a member of parliament they knew to be Catholic, warning them not to attend that night for their own safety. The letter was forwarded to the King and led to an investigation where, on the 5th November, they found a large amount of gunpowder and firewood in a chamber underneath Parliament House. The man they found there was Guy Fawkes. After being arrested for treason, Fawkes claimed he was the only conspirator. Later he admitted that there were in fact 13 conspirators including himself, and they were all executed two days later. Now on Bonfire Night we find ourselves commemorating the triumph of the British government against traitors, and condemn the actions of Guy Fawkes and his conspirators by burning effigies of him, a practice with deep connections to the pagan practice of burning the wicker man during Halloween. But what can we learn from this? What is so important about Bonfire Night? Perhaps we need to re-learn the great strength of love in forgiveness, in showing mercy and compassion. So as we enter into November, let us imagine ourselves as the Phoenix rising from the ashes, creating a new life of love, forgiveness and the ability to live with our conviction. The Gunpowder Conspirators, from a print published immediately after the discovery Mystic Moon suggests for the 5th November: * Go out with friends and family and see the bonfire festival ~ and enjoy the fireworks! * Forgive yourself, ask for forgiveness and forgive others. The Sound Essences aura spray “Forgiveness” (£10.99) is brilliant for this. Ask Archangel Zadkiel for help in this area as well. * Light a candle and remember the times when you have felt sabotaged or attacked. Acknowledge each time, cut the cords and let go. * Carry tigers eye to strengthen your foundations and conviction. 1

Forgiveness and Bonfire NightRemember, remember, the 5th of

NovemberThe Gunpowder Treason and Plot

I know of no reason why the Gunpowder Treason

Should ever be forgot...

Perhaps we need to re-learn the great strength of love in forgiveness, in

showing mercy and compassion. So as we enter into November, let us imagine ourselves as the Phoenix rising from the ashes, creating a new life of love, forgiveness and the ability to live with our conviction.

Forgiveness is one of the things that we, as humans, can find particularly tricky. It involves working within our heart centre. Forgiving others for past events or experiences, and importantly forgiving ourselves, is paramount in personal growth. It is important to release the events and experiences so they do not become karmic issues that can go onto your next soul life and hold you back.

We all have experiences that we have just shelved or put to the back of our minds in order to move on, and we think we have dealt with it but often we havenʼt. Unless these experiences are dealt properly with a rather large dollop of forgiveness they can become damaging to us. Not to the person who we need to forgive, but damaging to us personally.

The Angels can help with forgiveness and they ask you to separate the person and what they did, so you can forgive the person but the issue is still remembered and learned from. There is no

purpose in holding on to it – it just needs to be released.

The Angels can give you the strength to do this. The process of letting go empowers you so you no longer carry the pain and upset. It no longer can fester inside, damaging you, because you have released it and moved on positively.

Sometimes the hardest person to forgive is yourself. Again, the Angels are at hand to help, so you can be a little kinder to you.

Personally (and those who have been on my Angel Awareness Course will know) I try to pretend I am wearing a pair of Angel Glasses! This helps me to see things how the Angels would, as Angels love everyone 100% no matter what they have said, thought or done. So if we all started to wear Angels glasses and see things through the eyes of Angels it would make forgiveness a lot easier.

INSIGHT CORNER

Forgiveness comes in many forms. It may be verbal, it can take the form of action, and it can be a knowing sent on the wind. It gives us a sense of closure to an uncomfortable event, and comfort in knowing that the negative energies have been cleared.

When we forgive ourselves and others for the actions that have offended us, or caused us great harm, we find that we are offered a new dawn: a time to renew ourselves and begin again. A fresh start.

Holidays..... sometimes you are left wondering why you bother. You rush around like mad so you can go away and then when you come back you are overwhelmed with the washing and catching up with everything else you have left undone whilst you are away. Not too mention the money involved: nothing seems to be a cheap options these days.

For us, a fully dysfunctional family and the children both now being full price, going on holiday can be quite expensive.

This year I really did try to keep the cost down. Or so I thought! I rented someoneʼs apartment, and got some cheap flights. I even hired a car to drive in Spain – very brave I thought.

But as the holiday approached we all had funny feelings about it. One night as I was reading my

daughter's cards I picked up that she felt it was like a chore. I couldn't believe it. I really felt I didn't have time to go away and my son just had an uneasy feeling about it all.

Either way we set off. I drove to Manchester airport. How come those flight times always seem ok until you work out the time you have to be there for and allow for travelling? For us they always seem to end up being half way through the night.

I had pre-booked secure airport parking and of course I went for the cheapest deal I could find. Well, I was soon to experience my first lesson – you really do get what you pay for. I am very good at getting lost, but I had already asked the Angels to help, in particular Archangel Raphael, for a smooth journey. We did get there without getting lost. We drove past a few really secure parking places with high fences and security cameras. So we were somewhat surprised when we arrived at our field with a normal fence around it and portacabin in the centre. We got out of the car and unloaded our cases with two men who worked there watching, no help offered. They then told us to come into the portacabin and asked for my name. Part way through checking in the

power went out and we were plunged into complete darkness. With any explanation the man just got a torch out from under his desk and carried on! We were then told to go and get into one of two minibuses, slightly tricky in a complete blackout. It was so dark and, without even the internal light on in the bus, we nearly sat on the knees of two other passengers. I was half expecting this was a con and to be hit over the head with a blunt instrument..... But no, the Angels kept telling me it was ok. I do have to admit I had to keep reassuring the children it was ok, as they kept saying “I knew we shouldn't have come”.

My second time I learned that you get what you pay for was the position the apartment. It was in an area that had closed for the season and there was no one there but us and a retired couple, who glared at us if we moved a sun lounger. So after our second night there and driving for 40 mins to find somewhere to eat that was open and half decent, we decided to move on to another area of Spain (about 4 hours away) that the children knew since their Auntie lived there and they had visited before with their Dad.

We spent many an hour driving in Spain and I have got to say it was

My Holiday with the Angels

Page 4: Mystic Moon Newsletter: November 2010

easy, which I am sure was due to the Angels. On many occasions we would get lost but we always found our way back on to the correct route and discovering we where much further down the road than we should have been, saving us a lot of time. It amazed us. The kids were great - there was no moaning, and they kept the funny side in everything. The Angels certainly made travelling a dream.

Once we arrived at Playa Flamenco we went to the first hotel we could find that looked ok. It was a lovely hotel overlooking a beach and had pool. We got a price from the receptionist and went to look around. She gave us two prices B&B and half board. Both were more than I wanted to pay but the hotel looked really nice and was catered to families. I asked the Angels if they could help with the price and went back to the desk to sort it out. The receptionist went back on to the computer, and after a few clicks here and there, she looked at the screen, puzzled. She called a colleague over to check. I started to think, “oh no, the price has gone up, we can't afford this”,

but then she looked up and told us it was ok, that the price changed, but that it would turn out better for us.

The price changed right before her eyes. The computer now showed a half board price for all of us for less than the original B&B price. Those Angels are really good!

The holiday was not as planned, but it ended up being totally relaxing and the weather was lovely. I was able to do a lot of meditation and spend time with the children. I even managed to meet one of my new spirit guides and found out his name, which is a new experience for me as I have trouble remembering names a lot of the time.

The Angels on our holiday helped make it easier for me to learn the lesson, “you get what you pay for”. There were other lessons learned on this holiday as there is in daily life – but I will save it for another time. Until then don't forget to ask your Angels for all the help you need.
