Tract M is located in Phase lV ofGolfCourse Estates aad is aDoroximatelv 40,65 acrcs n srze.Tract M adjoins Camp Polk Road, a public road on rhe west. bolden Stoni Drive, a private roadwithin GolfCouse Estates, folms the southem boundary for much ofthis open space area. Theopen space t{act exteirds along the northem boundary ofthe portion ofthe subdivision that islocated in Section 1 . Tmot M adjoids the approved site of the A$pen Lakes Golf Course.

Tract M is wooded with juniper alld ponderosa pine hees. There is a hill in the westem portionofTract M.

Tract N is located south and wgst of and adjacent to Camp Polk Road. Tract N is approximately69,21 acres in size. The tract adjoins Open Space Tlact A. That hact was a part ofThe fum atAspen Lakes and is subject to a managemgnt plan and deed restrictiols already approved byDeschutes County. The management plan for Tract A lists the followirlg a! permitted us€s forTract A: idgation systern, community wate! system, golf course (i cluding reshooms) and trailsor paths.

Portions ofTract N have been cleared in the past. The rgsulting vcgetation is a mix ofjuniporscrub and rabbitbrush, Ovgrhead utilitios are located alons the west€m and southem bounda.riesof this area.

Tract O is a 234.53 acle open space aroa that sunounds Phase V ofcolfcourse Estates. Theproperty is bounded by Camp Polk Road on the west and by tlre Panora.inic View Est4tes sub-division on the east, Tmct O is vegetaled with juniper scrub and some stands of ponderosa pines-

Tract P is a small, .54 acre tract ofland located st the intersection ofsquaw Creek Drive andCamp Polk Road. This parcel is juniper scrub.

In addition to junipers and ponderosa pines, Great Basin sagebrush, bitterbrush, rabbitbrush artd

Idaho fescue arc fouod thoughout the open space areas. All open spaca tracts have low to mod-erate wildlife habitat value at the present time. The habitat value to wildlife is primarily pro'vided by areas of covol and aocess to Squaw Crook.

The soils on tie open space areas consist of Wango4 Henkle, wilt arld omahaling series soils.

These soils are typical of a short growiog season. The soils are g€nerally shallow, prone to wind

erosion and higlrly permeable, They are poor for forestry and most kinds ofagrioultue. Withirrjgation, some crops such as alfalfa oan be grown. The v€getation supported by these soils has

low to moderate value for livestock grazing.
