Acceleration: velocity change over a period of time

How do we know if velocity changes?

Velocity changes if speed changes, direction changes,

or if both change. So, an object accelerates if its

speed, its direction, or both change.

REMEMBER…

IF I APPLY THE SAME FORCE TO BOTH A BASEBALL AND SHOTPUT, WHICH ONE WILL HAVE LARGER ACCELERATION?
