Hopefully the “Dog Days of Summer” are behind us & we can get back to our

regular routines. A reminder is in order about the General Membership Monthly

Meeting. It is always held on the first Thursday of the month, except when it conflicts with a holiday & notice will be given.

The Executive Board spends many hours making sure the Club runs well & needs a quorum at meetings in order to conduct

business. There were 2 occasions this past summer when a quorum wasn’t present. There are a lot of Snowbirds/vacationers

& other reasons for lack of attendance, but it is surprising when the member birthday celebration is always well attended. Are

we going to have to serve dinner instead of dessert at the meetings? We have a great Club & the membership is soon at full

capacity, so as members, let’s support the meetings/ activities/ programs that keep us successful. Grazie & Ciao, Bruce

This month’s list for General Meeting goodies is A to M . Your contributions are appreciated by everyone.

Lobster Fest 2015 Saturday, July 25, 180 guests, both mem-

bers and non-members enjoyed the 5th annual Lobster Fest. The

perfectly coordinated Kitchen and Wait staff treated the guests to

a 1st Class production. The Kitchen was led by Tom Colangelo

and Donna Sherman. Tom’s group consisted of Frank Uttaro,

Tom Santurri, Ralph Maccarone, Ron DeBacco, Steve Fornadel,

Steve Sudia, Loretta McFarland, and Grace Robbio. Donna

Sherman handled the plating of the meal. Her wait staff included

Mary Indovino, Julia Griffith, Vi Giancola, Betty Lou Cattelona,

Laurie Mazzilli, and Rosemary Fornadel. Other helpers: Tom

Martorana -raffle, Vito Mazzilli, Ralph Maccarone & Karl

Bicknese -bussed. Karl also opened/closed the bar and helped

keep the “line moving”. Linda Bastian - flyers/ tickets. Julia

Griffith -outstanding decorations. Ticket sales /seating Barbara

Terzi & Kathy Carbone. Greeters/bussers- Al Angelastri and

Anthony Rondello. Lobster Pick-up- Doug McPeek. Our warm

heartfelt thanks to all for their unselfish devotion to the IACV.

For the better part of one day our Club was turned into a New

England Lobster Shanty. The music of Teddy James kept the

nostalgia of another time and place tastefully alive. So stay tuned,

we might even do it all over again ….next year! Dick Cattelona
