1 N12 Treasure Route is a spatial initiative by National, Provincial and Local Government and the private sector. Municipalities along the N12 Treasure Route are capitalising on this initiative in the interest of their communities, recognising the possibilities this initiative holds for tourism development and job creation, selling the product as a unit to domestic and international tourists. _______________________________________________________________________________ Chief Executive Officer Reporting to the Chairman and Board of Directors The Role: 1. The CEO will be responsible for the development of an implementation plan for the turnaround strategy which will include the safe, efficient and profitable operation of the airline leading to business sustainability. 2. Accountable to the Board of Directors of N12 Treasure Route Association and required to work closely with key external constituent groups including the local Municipalities, Provincial Tourism Agencies in North West, Gauteng and Northern Cape and Provincial and National Department of Tourism. 3. Overall responsibility for the financial performance of the company, with direct accountability for all dimensions of the route including strategy commercial, finance, human resources, corporate affairs, legal, information technology and all aspects of operations. 4. Provide strong and inspired leadership to the Board of directors whilst also ensuring that N12 is marketed both nationally and internationally. 5. Develop tourism programmes which will promote local tourism associations within municipalities 6. This is a year to year performance based contract which can be extended up to five years. Requirements: 1. Familiarity with relevant National Policies, Regulations, Strategies and Plans. 2. Ideally an experienced executive with relevant qualification and in-depth experience in leading an organization with possible international reach 3. Has a track record of leading a Non-Profit Organization that generates revenues and has ambitious growth strategy. 4. Strong in-depth experience in partnering with all relevant stakeholders
