Message from the Principal…
Dear Parents & Carers,
Meet the Teacher sessions will be held this week. I hope as many parents and carers as
possible will be able to attend these important and informative sessions. This year we will be
asking you for your ideas on what you would like to learn more about, so that you can support
your child’s learning at home. You may want to learn more about how we teach reading, writing
or mathematics. Or you may want to learn more about Visible Learning – learning intentions,
success criteria and learner dispositions. Come along with your ideas and we will then plan our
parent workshops for the year. The workshops held in 2019 were very well received and we
hope to be able to provide you with interesting and practical sessions again this year.
I would like to congratulate our zone swimming team. Not only did you perform to the best of
your ability in the pool, you also demonstrated amazing sportsmanship by cheering and
encouraging your team mates throughout the day. Several parents commented on the
tremendous sportsmanship of our
students. This year we have our largest
ever representation at the regional
swimming carnival on Tuesday 3 March.
A full report and photos will feature in
next week’s newsletter. Best of luck to
all our competitors.
The regional swimming carnival
unfortunately clashes with our school
photo day. We were lucky enough to
secure a new date for our photos.
Please see below for details.
Have a great week

Principal

School Photos will be held on Thursday 19th March. Envelopes were sent home last week with every student. Sibling envelopes are available at the office. Parents please return the envelope/s to school by Friday 13th March. Payment can be made on line or cash in the envelope.

Second Vice President

Uniform Coordinator
The AGM is open to all parents and carers who wish to attend, however only financial members are eligible to vote and /or nominate for vacant positions. To nominate yourself or someone else you may fill out a form at the office. Found – Glasses A pair of students reading glasses were handed in last year and we have had no luck in finding their owner. They are in an Eyecare Plus Case and look to be boys glasses and have ‘star wars’ on the arms.
