Do you belong to any clubs? There are all kinds of clubs you can join at your school or in your town. Want to learn about making food? You could join a cooking club. Want to fight with swords? You could join a fencing club. And if there isn’t a club for an activity that you like, you don’t have to cry about it: You can start your own club!

Little Kids Can Make a Big Difference!

When Zach Bonner was six years old, his life changed. He heard a story on the radio about a very big storm. The storm was a hurricane that swept through Florida. The hurricane had destroyed many homes, and lots of people needed food and water.

After hearing this on the radio, Zach had an idea. He asked his mom if his family could give the water bottles that they had to the people who had lost their homes. His mother said yes. But Zach wanted to do more. The next day, Zach pulled his little red wagon all around his neighborhood. He asked his neighbors to give food and water to help the people affected by the storm. They were happy to share what they had, and Zach collected it all. After he’d asked a few neighbors, he didn’t stop: He kept asking more and more. In fact, he was able to fill 7 trucks with everything that they donated!

After Zach had such success working on this project, he started a club. He called it the Little Red Wagon Foundation. The Little Red Wagon Foundation raises money and collects toys for homeless children. Zach also hosts an event each year called 24 Hours.
