our students and teachers to rise and contribute towards CMDRF. The amount collected came
to more than Rs.3lakhs. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the parents, teachers
and students for their valuable contribution. To sensitise students about various social issues
and how they can play a pivotal role in bringing in a positive change in the society, students
were made to understand the problems Kerala faced in the most devastating flood in a very
special assembly held. Another striking episode was when Gayathri M. of Grade VI offered a

angelians desire to sacrifice the chain which was gifted by her grandfather on her birthday.
Hats off to Gayathri for this generous and sympathetic act.

happiness irrespective of age. Christmas celebration in our school campus is still more
fascinating. The kids from Grade- I & II celebrated Christmas on 18th December with lots of

education, sports achievements, Innovations, overall results, PTA activities, important SMC
decisions been added in annual report of the school .
Environmental Education
Environmental education is the organised effort to teach how natural environments
function and particularly how human beings can manage behaviour and ecosystems to
live sustainably. It provides opportunities to acquire the knowledge, values, attitudes,
commitment and skills needed to protect and improve the environment. The education
system in India had incorporated certain aspects of environment in school curricula.
In our school we capture this enthusiasm and that no opportunity is lost to develop
knowledge, understanding and concern for the environment.
In our school, we initiate programmes to develop the interest of children towards the
caring of environment world water day, earth day and environment day are celebrated
with enthusiasm. The programmes enables students to replicate the knowledge of
3R’s in daily life, by reusing waste materials, reducing garbage and recycling
households. Students also showcase placards, poster and public speeches to develop
the love and care to mother nature. Planting trees is one of the main activities held at
school. Students plant trees both at home and school to spread the greenery.
The above mentioned activities instill an interest towards conservation of nature in
students, love towards mother nature and love for the surroundings.
Sports Achievements
“The movement of victory is much too short to live for that and nothing else.”
Martina Navratilova-Tennis player
Sports is the result of dedicating team work and perseverance. Every year sports and
Athletic have been integral part of our school. Our children have put on a spectacular
display of courage, hard work, skill and brilliance during the year 2019-20 with extra
ordinary team spirit among the four houses Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald and Topaz. Our
school showed marvellous performances in Sahodaya Volleyball Tournament, Cochin
Naval Marathon, CBSE Athletic meet and All Kerala Kids Athletic meet. In all the
competitions our children have come out in flying colours.
Our Achievements:
We were the runner up in the Sahodaya Volleyball Tournament held in
Alappuzha in the month of October 2019.
Our students Hafiz Rahman of Grade VI and Abinav P Kurup of Grade V have
secured 5th & 9th position in the Cochin Naval Marathon Competition.
Yafeez Sulfikar of Grade XII secured 5th position in shortput in CBSE Athletic
Meet.
Our school got 3rd position in All Kerala Athletic Competition held in Trissur.
The annual sports meet was conducted on 21st and 22nd Nov. The different events
conducted were shot put, long jump, discus throw, 50mt, 100mt, 200mt, 400mt,
800mt, 4x100 relay, 4x100 mixed relay. Inter house volley ball and basketball is yet
to take place.
Innovations
Many innovative measures have been taken during these last few years to enhance the
quality in the realm of curricular and extra-curricular activities in our school. Sincere
efforts are taken to improve the English Language speaking skills in the school
campus with the help of the Institute of Language Management(ILM). We now
provide smart class rooms with smart boards and we have implemented digitalized
teaching methods Art integrated teaching method is implemented incorporating
different subjects to each other. Laboratories are well equipped and necessary
paraphernalia are provided to enhance the practical skills of each other and every
student. We are well aware of the modern trends in teaching and surge ahead with
each programme implemented by CBSE. Moreover special attention is given to slow
learners through special classes trying to uplift them and trying to keep a pleasant
ambiance in the school campus and we take the recourse of the parent community in
the matter. Day to day information regarding the students are updated in our school
web-site and PTA meetings are held regularly especially after each and every exam
making the parents aware of their wards progress in the academic field .
We have also innovated special measures to enhance the students’ physical and
mental makeup. Various sports activities, quiz competitions, counselling classes,
science exhibition, charity drive etc. are held periodically to ensure the over all
development of the student community. Every year we adopt many innovative
measures to improve the quality of our X’mas and Annual Day celebrations and hence
these celebrations in our school have become a cynosure to all the people present
Before I conclude this write-up let me remind you that we leave no stories unturned in
our march towards progress.
Overall results
The overall result performing to the AISSE & AISSCE for the last many years is
100% with lot of distinctions and first classes. Even the lowest performers were also
able to secure first class marks in their board exams.
Considering the lower sections, it is noticeable that the performance always exceeded
our expectations as the lower sections also maintained a constant 99% result
throughout these years. This is due to our strenuous effort to uplift the weaker
students and we try our level best to bring them to the mainstream of the achievers.
PTA Activities
Regular PTA meetings are conducted every year to make the parents aware of their
wards achievements and short comings. These meetings are mostly conducted after
every exams and the Principal and the subject teachers participate in elaborate
discussions with the parents in the presence of their wards. In this way we make
aware of the parents and students about the areas where they need more attention. For
the X & XII students, these meetings prove to be very significant and this reflect in
their board exams results.
The parents are given ample opportunities to meet the class teachers and every day
specific time is allotted for this purpose. IN short, we can say that we have
incorporated the parent in our curricular activities in such a way that gives the
students and parents more confidence and enthusiasm.
