NanoRacks, LLC Michael D. Johnson (832) Page No. 3 Cube Sat Genesis CubeSat standard was invented by Jordi Puig-Suari of Cal Poly and Prof. Bob Twiggs of Stanford. As of today, 18 CubeSats have been placed into obit. Many CubeSats were destroyed by launch vehicle failures. 1 PU CubeSat is 10x10x10 1kg. Many variations exist: 2PU, 3PU, 6 pack, etc. Cube Lab History Bob Twiggs CubeSats generally fly as secondary payloads. Primary payloads don’t like to share their ride. Launch opportunities are hard to find.
