Presentation Day Volunteers Needed!We need adult and teen volunteers for our 2020 Presentation Day event! The event will be held onSaturday, February 22, 2020. Whether or not you have prior experience with Presentation Day, there is ajob for you! This is a great way to learn more about the event and meet people within the Napa 4-Hcommunity. Check out the volunteer role descriptions needed below!

Volunteer OpportunitiesRoom Host: Members 11 years and older are encouraged to serve. Your duties are to presideover the area, help presenters set up, introduce the presenter, and assist spectators. Adult Evaluator: Parents, leaders, and volunteers are asked to serve as evaluators. Orientationwill be provided. Thank you for your support!

Club Visit Spotlight
American Canyon
The American Canyon 4-H club started out the new year with a fun and productive Januarymeeting! Small animal, welding, baking, crop management, and leadership project members gave
reports on what they had been learning and doing at their recent meetings. The club alsodiscussed fundraiser ideas, such as hosting a paint night, and their upcoming community service
project will include putting together military boxes. The club is working hard fundraising andpreparing the farm for their newest project: creating new swine facilities for their members! The
night ended with treats and a club community building activity of creating sock puppets. Keep upthe great work American Canyon 4-H!

Napa County 4-H Scholarships
2020 Scholarship Application
Due: Friday, March 20, 2020 by 5pm
The candidate for any 4-H scholarship must be:1. Graduating seniors living within Napa
County currently enrolled in the NapaCounty 4-H Youth Development Programas an “active” member.
2. Complete a minimum of four (4) years in a4-H Club within Napa County including all(4) years of high school.
3. Graduate from an Accredited School(GED, Alternative, Public, Private, HomeSchool, Etc.) within the Napa County Officeof Education.
4. All recipients must verify enrollment in aCommunity/Junior College, State College,University, or Trade School, beforereceiving the scholarship money. Selectionis not based on financial need.

2020 County Ambassador Application

4-H County Ambassadors serve in the highest 4-Hleadership role in Napa County 4-H. The 4-HCounty Ambassador position not only recognizes amember's leadership abilities, but it is also aworking honor. 4-H County Ambassadors areliaisons between the county 4-H office, 4-Hmembers and volunteers, and the public. They visit4-H clubs in their county, network with otherorganizations within the community, and representtheir county at the annual 4-H State LeadershipConference. 4-H County Ambassadors are rolemodels for their fellow 4-H members and theircommunity.

The UC Hopland Research and Extension Centeris currently lambing their flock of 225 Westernwhiteface (Targhee/Montadale) sheep.
4 orphaned (bummer) lambs are available to 4-Hfamilies, 3 wethers and 1 ewe lamb.
If you are interested in adopting an orphan lambplease contact Hannah Bird ([email protected] or
(707) 744 1424 ext 105) to register your interestand to be added to the waiting list. You will beasked to sign adoption paperwork which assumesall care and ownership of the lamb. Further carenotes are available to provide advice on feedingschedules.
