Letter from the Associate Administrator

The purpose of this guide is to provide a window into the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS)

codes that have received the most contract dollars at each NASA Center during the previous fiscal year. Please keep in mind that the codes shown here represent only funds that are currently being obligated to contracts, whether these contracts are new or are in subsequent funding years. There is no guarantee that the Centers will be issuing solicitations

on contracts linked to these codes in the upcoming year. Some of the NAICS codes listed herein are associated with

contracts awarded prior to 2007; in addition, some NAICS codes were revised in 2007 and are no longer valid.

KENNEDY SPACE CENTERKennedy Space Center (KSC) will transform from a historically Government- and program-focused, single-user launch complex to a more capability-centric and cost-effective multiuser spaceport, serving both Government and commercial space providers. KSC’s future is launch services, commercial crew, and exploration programs. The Ground Systems Development and Operations Program is propelling this vision forward by refurbishing and upgrading the KSC infrastructure, which will equip the Center to process and launch the next-generation vehicles and spacecraft designed to extend humanity's reach into space. KSC is playing a key role in solving technical problems, processing payloads and hardware for future missions, and diversifying partnerships that will utilize existing capabilities.
