Preface
Work is enjoyment that comes from commitment.
From my work experience I would like to highlight two pro-
jects, one of corporate design for a technology company, to
emphasize in the importance of efficient work strategies and
team work methods, and a personal photography project, to
show my visual and creative potential.
In addition, more samples of my projects and work expe-
rience are available at my online gallery.

TASU
Tasu
TASU is a company start up that developed a contemporary
business model by using kaizen methods and the latest com-
munication technologies to improve productivity and bring
together a work team from remote locations, overcoming
space and time management issues. TASU is a working group
specialized in the development of cutting edge technologies
and applications inspired by their experience and research in
the optimization of operational processes, such as lean ma-
nufacturing, continuous improvement and others, ensuring
high quality products and services.

PROCESS As part of the TASU work group, I learned remote team working methods and improved producti-
vity in the design team with time management awareness, clarity of objectives, effective commu-
nication in meetings, and with the standardization of processes when possible, for the cohesion of
the design team.

1. Time Management
Time share of activities within an hour.
At the beginning and the end of the work day all members meet virtually and communicate their goals and inquiries to other members. With proper planning and TASU’s platform, meetings do not last more than 30 minutes.
Each member defines his or her goals of the day, and reports the percentage achieved by the end of the day.

Meeting+ interface redesign. Based on the existing programming requirements and a previous version I redesigned
the interface and improved the grid and the graphic uniformity of the elements.

products As a designer I collaborated in the development of a cloud based technology called “Meeting+”.
This application allows managers to trace all their company´s meetings, improving visibly project
planning and executing time by following the continuous improvement methodologies. My work
included web design, heuristic evaluation of user interface, user interface re-design and promotio-
nal material design.

the meeting from the computer to ensure maximum focus on the meeting topics. The Just in time
board assists the meeting process by addressing only one topic at a time, and ensuring clarity in
conclusions by sending them automatically to all members after the meeting.

During my work at TASU I was also involved in the development of a web based technology to ac-
curately follow time invested in projects. This product called “Time Keeper” offers real time consult
of all operation’s timing, graphically consolidated. My work included identity design, web design,
user interface design and promotional material design.
products
Time keeper’s interface was developed by working hand-in-hand with the engineering department, as well as by
getting feedback from the clients and users. With time it grew from a simple task chronometer to a time and project
management system, where managers could supervise their team’s performance and get instant information on
work progress.

KISEKI
Kiseki
Kiseki means miracle. Project Kiseki is a series of photographs of
ink in water. The shapes drawn by the ink resemble images of li-
ving microorganisms, a beautiful metaphor to represent water as
the primary life element, to remind us the beauty of life thorough
color and light. Ephemeral paintings of microscopic, primitive
beings, which I capture in photographs.
Kiseki is my graduation project from Tokyo Visual Arts College
and from the Graphic Design School at the National Universi-
ty of Colombia. In its early stage it included a slideshow and
music composition, and later was edited in a book and exhibi-
ted in various scenarios.

Starting Point and inspiration
Various experiments with colors and inks. Change of perspective.
Alternative project “Collage”. This
project mixes women’s portraits
with various materials in digital
compositions. I have previously
researched on working with the
re-signification of images when used
out of its usual contexts. In this
image, ink becomes a dress.
Post-production: cleaning, and color
optimization for print.
By taking the photographs from above, in a shallow container I
discover visually different results, and the resulting shapes resemble
microorganisms.

PROCESS Kiseki is also a methodological experiment. This project was developed during my final year of
study in Japan, and there I learned a different way to approach a creative project. In the usual
method, the starting point is to conceive a concept, then, search for references, sketch accordin-
gly and come to the final piece. In the Photography School in Japan, the professors showed me a
different way. First, they advised me to look for something that captured my attention, explore it,
photography it, then look at the photographs and find the concept that starts emerging from it.
In this method concept comes after experience. This was a turning point in the way I assumed my
work, because it taught me to let go and accept drives such as pulse, inspiration, and a degree of
lack of control that surprisingly, enriches any creative endeavor.
