and the Small Business Administration. Glenn Luedke, NAICC Legislative Assistant will also give an update on NAICC’s governmental activities during the joint breakfast on Saturday morning.

Back by popular demand, are the roundtable discussions for consultants on Thursday morning, as well as roundtables for all three tracks held Saturday morning after the joint breakfast. Highlighting the joint breakfast session is Fernando Martins of Brazil who will give us insight into consulting and research in his country. Martins is also joining the consultants for discussion on resistance management during the Thursday roundtable. His participation at the meeting is sponsored by the Global Alliance of Independent Ag Consultants and NAICC’s Foundation.

The popular “Networking” block of time has been set aside for researchers from 12:00 noon – 3:30 p.m., on Thursday, January 28. Researchers can choose to attend the Emerging & Evolving Technology Session or set up their own appointments with colleagues, sponsors, etc. to discuss plans for the 2016 crop season. The goal is to cut down on the meetings that take place throughout the hotel during the program sessions. Please plan to meet during this scheduled time or after the NAICC scheduled events. Researchers without meetings in this block are encouraged to attend the Emerging & Evolving Technology Session.

Be sure to review the Program of Events listing educational sessions during the week. Remember to load the Annual Meeting app to help plan your schedule. Go to www.eventmobi.com/NAICC16 or scan the QR code on this page.

TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

Multiple opportunities are available for pre-meeting training. NAICC and several of our faithful Sustaining Members will offer training on Monday, January 25, Tuesday, January 26 and Wednesday, January 27. See program for details and times.

NAICC GLP Training for Researchers and Quality Assurance Professionals

In Orlando, there is always something new to discover. There is also a lot to discover at the NAICC 2016 Annual Meeting and AG PRO EXPO! From the renaming and revitalizing of Downtown Disney to Disney Springs, to the renovations at the Buena Vista Palace, you are sure to discover something or someone new this week in Orlando. Visit with old friends and make new ones as NAICC continues to grow our membership and meeting attendance. Come on down and join over 650+ other talented ag professionals…our industry’s greatest and most influential leaders.

The Annual Meeting Coordination Committee members -- under the guidance of Dan Moser, Matt Eich, Matt Winslow, Kathy Richards and Angela Dawson -- have developed an outstanding program that features timely topics for crop and research consultants and quality assurance professionals.

During the Plenary Session, the 2016 Keynote Address will be given by Dr. Jay Lehr. An Economist and Futurist, Dr. Lehr makes people feel good about American Agriculture. He combines 5 decades of expertise and experience in Agricultural Economics, Agronomy, Environmental Science and Business Administration with the most contagious enthusiasm for the future of the American Farm and Ranch. Jay Lehr is Science Director of the Heartland Institute, a libertarian think tank supported by contributions by individuals, foundations, and corporations. He is also Senior Scientist with Environmental Education Enterprises, Inc. in Ostrander, Ohio.

This year, all three tracks of the Annual Meeting program offer a regulatory update session. Researchers and QAs will hear from EPA, USDA and the Standards Council of Canada during a joint session beginning Thursday, January 28 at 7:45 a.m. The following day, crop consultants will be joined by EPA officials and representatives from the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture

maximum of 142 individuals so be sure to sign up early on the meeting registration form. Modules include:

• Basic GLP Training: Receive an overview of the GLP regulations with emphasis on the responsibilities of QA, Study Directors and Principal Investigators as it relates to your role in a GLP environment.

• Refresher GLP Training: Challenge your GLP knowledge. This session has something for everyone.

• Practical Field Workshop: This hands-on workshop will focus on sampling techniques, equipment, data documentation, and GLP compliance.

Once training modules are full, there will be NO onsite registrations.

Continuing Education UnitsConsultants will have the opportunity to gain 25 Consultant Education Units (CEUs) for the NAICC CPCC program. NAICC has also submitted the preliminary program to various state and national certification programs and associations for CEU credit review. The Quality Assurance portion of the program is being reviewed for CEUs by the Society of Quality Assurance. CEUs awarded for these programs will be announced in the NAICC News, on the NAICC Web site and at registration.

NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES

Exhibit Hall ExtravaganzaThe exciting and educational Outgoing President’s Reception and Exhibit Hall Extravaganza will kick off at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday evening, January 28. We’ll join together to pay tribute to NAICC President Debra Keenan as she wraps up her Presidential year. Catch up with peers, meet key industry representatives and learn about new technologies – simply by spending time in the Exhibit Hall. Exhibitors have the opportunity to give away prizes during the evening so be sure to drop off your business card in designated boxes throughout the day and at the beginning of the Extravaganza.

NEW THIS YEAR! All exhibitors will be given a code for attendees to input into the Annual Meeting App. The app will track who has visited the most exhibitors and accumulated the most points by attending sessions, finding specific people (i.e. President Debra Keenan) etc. The top three winners will receive prizes. Winners will be announced at the Friday night Networking Dinner.

To help ensure exhibitors and attendees have as many opportunities to network as possible, all continental breakfasts, morning and afternoon coffee breaks and receptions will take place in the Exhibit Hall.

Every year one of the highlights of this opening evening is the silent auction.

Be a part of The Foundation’s (FEAE) Silent Auction by donating and/or taking home one-of-a-kind items from throughout North America and Europe! Whether you are providing items for the silent auction or are one of the successful bidders, you are sure to have a great time. Proceeds from the auction go toward instrumental educational programs that benefit our industry at large.

New Members and First TimersThe New Members and First Timers reception will be held on Wednesday, January 27 at 5:00 p.m. The NAICC Executive Board members, Committee Chairs and Past Presidents will be on hand to welcome you and introduce you around all week. Also, new members are invited to the New Members Boot Camp on Thursday, January 28 at 12:00 noon. During camp you will learn about the various NAICC committees and who does what. More importantly, you will find out how you can get involved in our organization from the very start.

Friday Night Networking Dinner – A Taste of FloridaNAICC friends and colleagues are invited to enjoy a spectacular event as they travel through Florida. Dress is casual, but feel free to done your favorite attire for one of the four destinations – Daytona, Everglades, Orlando and Key West! Car races, crab races, moonshine games, destination themed food and music will be sure to entertain everyone. Our own Lacey Todd and The Dave Shepard Band will be performing live!
