THE 700 YEARS TOUROur 4-hour guided tour provides contemporary interpretation of Mesa Verde’s early inhabitants, the Ancestral Puebloan people. The “700 Years Tour” follows a chronological journey from the earliest recorded Pit House sites and Pueblo Villages to the Classic Pueblo era cliff dwellings. The tour culminates with a ranger-led walking tour of Cliff Palace, the largest cliff dwelling in North America.
700 Years Tour: 8am-noon, daily & 1:30pm- 5:30pm, daily
Departs Far View Lodge and Far View Terrace, rain or shine. Please prepare to board 15 minutes prior to departure time. THE FAR VIEW EXPLORER TOURExplore the mesa on this guided tour that is designed for all ages. Sites provide level wide trails, easy accessibility, yet the adventure of exploration. Climb to the highest point in the park, Park Point, a 360-degree panoramic view of the surrounding Four Corners states. View the classic period of cliff dwellings from numerous photo stops and walks, while engaging in the chronological 700-year history of the Pueblo culture.
