“A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn about and experience the Chineseeconomic miracle. There is no replacing actually being on the ground in thethick of it. The program was planned out to a T and highly educational forbusiness journalists.”-Christopher Kirkpatrick, Detroit Free Press, Business Editor

“I really don't see how any serious journalist who covers energy, health care, business, foreignafairs, politics, education, technology, financial markets or environmental issues could turndown the opportunity to visit China and interact with entrepreneurs and thought leadersthere. Whatever your beat, you won't forget this fellowship.”-Blake Sobczak, Environment & Energy Publishing

“One of the things that really slows down the reporting process at work is spendingthe time finding the right people to interview, and then lining up those meetings. So having such an impressive lineup of speakers ready to go was incredible. I reallyappreciated getting the opportunity to meet with so many experts in such a widerange of fields.”-Andrea Chang, LA Times

“If you want to get excited about medical reporting, this is a great

opportunity. I was already skeptical about many of the ‘studies’ wereport on...Cancer Issues 2014 brought light to many of my concernsabout health reporting. I feel invigorated and excited about thestories that need to be told.”-Keli Moore, KSBY News

“The cancer program helped solidify my knowledge of a verycomplicated topic and also got me thinking about some new topicsthat I plan to bring to my readers soon.”-Paul Sisson, U-T San Diego

“Being with a diverse, multi-media group of reporters wasenergizing, and the speakers provided me with valuable sources,

and story ideas, and context. I hope this important program cancontinue.”-Marie McCullough, The Philadelphia Inquirer
