A Word from Fr. Roberto Dear Parishioners,

“I am with you always, until the end of the age” (Mt 28:20) says Jesus to us. It has been a year since we began this difficult & dark chapter of our church, family, and individual lives. Each of us have dealt with this pandemic in our own person-al and different ways. But one thing is true, as long as we walk with Jesus & sus-tain each other, we can continue to embrace this new Covid reality with patience, creativity, perseverance & grace.

Since we reopened on the Feast of Corpus Christi last year, rain or shine, Jesus offers Himself and walks with us in the Eucharist, Confession, the sacraments, through our church and school community. We did not give up in being “Church” – Mystical the Body of Christ. Whether in person or online, we contin-ued to gather, pray, sing, serve, mourn, console, give of ourselves and of our blessings. Thank you for remaining to be a ‘living stone’ - the jigsaw puzzle piece that make up Nativity Church.

With more people getting the vaccine, the glimmer of hope grows brighter. This Holy Week we are reminded of a Spiritual Vaccine, who is the very source of our hope, strength, peace, joy, spiritual health and well-being – our Lord Jesus. Like any vaccine, its benefits only take effect when we receive it.

As we approach Holy Week, I hope you join us in our celebrations. These are grace-filled moments that will benefit you & your families tremendously. Remem-ber He died and rose for you, your loved ones, and I so that we may have a Spir-itual Vaccine to keep us spiritually healthy & holy for God.

Unas palabras del padre Roberto Estimados feligreses,

“Yo estoy con ustedes todos los días hasta que se termine este mundo” (Mt 28,20), nos dice Jesús. Ha pasado un año desde que comenzamos este capítulo difícil y oscuro de nuestra iglesia, familia y vidas individuales. Cada uno de nosotros ha enfrentado esta pandemia de manera personal y diferente. Pero la verdad es, mientras caminemos con Jesús y nos sostengamos unos a otros, podemos continuar abrazando esta nueva reali-dad de Covid con creatividad, perseverancia y gracia.

Desde que reabrimos en la fiesta del Corpus Christi el año pasado, llueva o sol, Jesús se ofrece y camina con nosotros en la Eucaristía, la Confesión, los sacramentos, a través de nuestra iglesia y comunidad escolar. No nos dimos por vencidos en ser "Iglesia" - el Cuerpo Místico de Cristo. Ya sea en persona o en línea, continuamos reuniéndonos, oran-do, cantando, sirviendo, llorando, consolando, dando de nosotros mismos y de nuestras bendiciones. Gracias por seguir siendo una "piedra viva", una pieza que forma la Iglesia Natividad.

Con más personas recibiendo la vacuna, el rayo de esperanza se vuelve más brillante. Esta Semana Santa nos recuerda de una Vacuna Espiritual, que es la misma fuente de nuestra esperanza, fuerza, paz, alegría, salud espiritual y bienestar: nuestro Señor Jesús. Como cualquier vacuna, sus beneficios solo surten efecto cuando la recibimos.

Al acercar a la Semana Santa, espero que se una a nosotros en las celebraciones. Estos son momentos llenos de gracia que los beneficiarán enormemente a usted y a sus fami-lias. Recuerde que Él murió y resucitó por usted, sus seres queridos y yo para que poda-mos tener una Vacuna Espiritual que nos mantiene espiritualmente sanos y santos para Dios.
