The company is building its 11th public compressed natural gas (CNG) station, on Interstate 40 in Hickory, N.C., and building stations for private users as well. These stations provide CNG for fl eets and personal NGVs.

Current CNG prices by state (as of Jan. 1, 2017)

North Carolina$2.03 per gasoline gallon

equivalent (GGE)*

South Carolina$1.87 per GGE*

Tennessee$1.74 per GGE*

*Prices shown are based on current approved rates at Piedmont’s public access compressed natural gas (CNG) stations. Prices are in units of gasoline gallon equivalent (GGE), the approved unit of measure for dispensed CNG. Prices include applicable federal and state excise taxes, and other taxes Piedmont Natural Gas is required to collect by government authorities.
