Enrollment Management In An Uncertain Climate

• IMPACTION Used to Direct Students & Limit Enrollment As CSU receives more

applicants From Eligible Students than it can accommodate.

• PROGRAM IMPACTION enables programs to define supplemental admission criteria.

• CAMPUS IMPACTION enables a campus to define local area….CCC colleges for transfers.

• Students applying from within the local area subject to CSU admission criteria.

• Students applying from outside the local area subject to supplemental criteria.

Enrollment Management In An Uncertain Climate

• What is a Local Area? • CSU campuses reflect upon the number of applications it has

historically received from community colleges in its vicinity in defining their local admission area (AA -2010-20 )

• SB 1440 Degree students must complete a minimum of 12 units in residence at the conferring CCC to be designated “local”

• Available Degree Major

• If a program is not offered at an applicant’s local campus,

THEN

• CSU-eligible students are guaranteed to be considered as “local” to the most adjacent campus offering the program.

Setting The Course To Increase Student Success: CSU Initiatives

• Early Start Initiative ---College Readiness (EPT/ELM Exams)• EAP Partnerships• CCC Partnership Opportunities• Articulating Remedial Courses

• SB 1440 Transfer AA & AS Degrees • Similar BA & BS Degrees

“Would students who finish this TMC prior to transfer be adequately prepared for upper division work in the major, so they could complete the given degree in 60 semester units (or the equivalent in quarter units)?”

•  Admission Priority

• Graduation Initiative• Super Seniors
