• A test used to discover something.

• To explore by trying different things.

Failed

• When something you tried did not work.

Question

• Something you ask to find out information.

Hypothesis

• When you think about something you are going to try, and guess what will happen when you do it.

Repeat

• Doing or saying something that you have already done--again!

Fungus

• A group of living things, such as mushrooms or mold, that grow on and get their food from other living things.

Rot

• To go bad or decay or fall apart. Spoil (such as food going bad when it’s been in the refrigerator too long).

Motion

• When something moves around.

Seedlings

• Very small plants, just when they have started to grow from their seeds.

Object

• Anything that has a shape and can be seen or touched.

• A group of many small cells made of wax where bees store their honey.

Hexagon

• A closed shape that has six straight sides.

Antennae

• Long thin body parts on the heads of insects and some other animals, which they use to help them feel and smell.

Pollen / Pollinate

• Yellow powder made by a flowering plant. Bees land on flowers and the pollen gets on their bodies. Then they take it to another flower and it comes off to fertilize the seeds.

Blossom

• The flower part of a plant.

Swarm

• A large number of insects moving in a group.

Square

• A four-sided closed shape with straight sides of the same length, and four equal corners.

Matching

• When one thing is just like another thing. Same size and shape.

Equal

• The same amount.

• A long bench to sit on, usually found in a church.

Master

• A person with power or control over another person.

Slavery

• The owning of people by other people.

Registered

• Officially listed in a record book, or signed up.

Legal

• Allowed to do something by law.

Couple

• Two people or things that go together in some way. (Married to, or dating each other.)

Blooms

• The flowers on a plant. This word could also be used as a action word to describe flowers opening up.

Certificate

• A piece of paper that may be an award, or may show that something is legal.
