University of Southern Nevada ◦ Relatively new, private non-profit university

founded in 1999 ◦ Offering only four areas of study: Pharmacy,

Nursing, Business and a residency, intern program in Orthodontics

◦ Two campuses in two states Nevada and Utah ◦ Enrollment as of Fall 2009 842 ( this number does

not include our new ABSN students)

Each cohort of students pass through one course (block) at a time.

In order to move to the next course students must pass each course with a 90%

Students are given an opportunity to reassess if they do not pass

Library instruction is not included on assessments in the nursing program but is included in pharmacy.
