EDITORIAL Some people are known to be born leaders. The quality runs in their family; it is in their genes. Others are inspired by such people and work upon imbibing quality. Some fail at achieving it, while others are successful in attaining it through continual efforts. While leadership is a powerful quality, leaders possess various other qualities in addition to it that make them popular. Here are the five main qualities of a good leader: 1. Honesty Honesty is one of the main qualities of a leader. A leader leads by example. So, if you want your team to look up to you, have faith in your ideologies and follow fair means in the tasks you assign them, it is imperative for you to be honest yourself. A deceitful person may attract people by way of manipulation; however, he will soon lose his credibility. 2. Communication A leader does not think of himself as superior to you and thus does not believe in maintaining a distance. He rather ensures a flow of two-way communication to share ideas, discuss issues and maintain a cordial relation. 3. Self-Confidence The level of self-confidence leaders possess is remarkable . They are sure about themselves and know exactly how to put their point across to inspire their audience. Good leaders also have confidence in their team. 4. Transparency Good leaders do not hide facts or plays games. They maintain transparency while dealing in both personal and professional relationships. This is one of their traits for which they are highly trusted and respected. 5. Patience A person who is impatient loses temper frequently and can never qualify to be a good leader. Possessing patience is one of the main keys to becoming a good leader. Only if a person is patient can he understand the mistakes of others and help them evolve.

A 17 Year Old’s Diary

What’s in a 17- year old boy’s diary? Girls, friends, or some other teen story. But no, this boy’s diary had none of this For his life was something very very amiss.

A very bright student, he was the apple of his parents’ eyes; He left for school, saying his goodbyes. His body started trembling, as he reached school For this was a place, which made of him a Fool.

He was bullied non-stop, they wouldn’t leave him alone. They called him names, hit him, and even threw stones And he, socially awkward as he was Had no friends, had no buzz.

At home, his parents smiled at him with pride. But little did they know that he was crumbling inside. He performed well everywhere, it seemed that he was flawless Yet his diary was the only place where he could find solace.

One day, unable to take any more, He took out his diary, depressed to the core. And as he made in his diary, one last note, He hung himself from the fan, right by the throat.

Seeing his body, his parents wept, wept and wept And inside their souls, a wave of sadness crept. His mother shouted out his name, but in vain His father just stood there, lifeless in the pain.
