pension of pre-20 16 pensioners

This is regarding examination of feasibility of implementation of recommendationsof ih CPC for revision of pension of pre-20 16 pensioners. The Department of Pension and ..Pensioners' Welfare has been examining scenario in revision of pension on following basis:

(i) Increment method-by taking into account increment earned in the pay scaleat the time of retirement (I" method)

(ii) 2.57 fitment method- by multiplying the existing pension as on 31.12.2015by a factor of2.57(2nd method)

(iii) Modified parity method, i.e. 50 % of the minimum of pay in the pay matrixof 7th CPC in the corresponding level(3rd method)

(iv) Actual pay fixation method (upto ih CPC) (4thmethod)

A sample calculation on above methods is attached.

2. A list of cases where the above calculation method is to be applied, is enclosed atAnnexure-I. The format in which information is to be supplied in each case is attached asAnnexure-II.

3. It is mentioned that cases have been selected by DoP&PW randomly and many ofthese are old cases. Information in such cases would be possible only by concerted effortsand by assigning the specific task to concerned officers in the circle or DAP concerned. It ispresumed that information in respect cases of different categories of officers!officials wouldbe available in DAP, Circle office or Concerned Divisions. Wherever required, Circleoffice would provide required information. The difficulties faced in collecting informationand anomalies noticed may also be indicated.

4. It is requested to look into the matter personally and ensure that information issuppl ied to the Directorate in each case relating to your circle latest by 30th August, 2016.The information can be sent also bye-mail at dir.budget(Q),rediffmail.eom or at Fax No.011-23096174
