I worked for B&Q as a Customer Service Advisor for over four years. My main duties include dealing with customer returns and complaints, ensuring customers receive the best service within the store and answering the telephone in the phone office, which deals with customer enquiries. I am also fully till trained and have the responsibility for the cash flow of my own till.

Smart Metering Systems

I have worked within SMS PLC for just over 3 years. Since this time I have progressed throughout the company. I started out as a smart metering coordinator which involved calling customers to have engineers attend their site/premises and exchange over their current gas meter for a newer model. After this I moved to a technical role and was advising people in the company of not only the standards that we should be following but advising them on design figures for the gas meter installation. I am not in a role where I audit the jobs that have been completed by our engineers and the paperwork completed by advisors within the company. This is a rather important role due to the fact that if there are errors within the audit process then we are in breach of MAMCoP (Meter Asset Manager Code Of Practice).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

I have an outgoing personality and feel that I have the enthusiasm to make a valuable addition to any team providing a quality service. I communicate well and I am comfortable with the needs and demands of any environment. I have confidence in my abilities to meet any challenge with vigour and professionalism. Throughout my school and college years I have had excellent time keeping and attendance. I have gained four years customer service experience, which has taught me the importance of working to deadlines and I currently do this on a regular basis. These years experience also gives me the confidence to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues and the board of management. I feel working within customer service has enhanced my people skills and I thoroughly enjoy working with the public. I have been a guitarist for seven years and this requires a large amount of attention to detail, as there are so many aspects to focus on. I have also used Microsoft packages such as Microsoft Word within B&Q to design tables and create template letters. I also have experience working with packages such as Excel through computing modules and I have helped family members carry out excel documents. I use these programs on a daily basis as my role heavily involves these programs. Overall, I am a reliable, hard working and motivated individual who enjoys working within customer service.
