When I got interested in microwave non-destructive and more-or-less non-contacting testing of porous silicon, I began to make up a variety of suitable test fixtures.
These devices were assembled from bits and pieces of microwave hardware that were obtained piecemeal over time. Despite the home-brew nature of these devices, they worked fairly well.
