Fixed Issues Connector's loading has been improved to prevent failures when local store files arecorrupted.
Duplicate entities could appear in the Hierarchy Rules page.
The value for the metrics ST_CIFS_RATE, ST_FC_RATE, ST_ISCSI_RATE, ST_NFS_RATE, andST_SAN_RATE was not correct.
An exception could occur:
when collecting disk information in 7-mode and caused the collect to fail.
when discovering disks in cluster mode.
when the value for an aggregate was null.
when discovering qtree.
Known IssueWhen using BMC TrueSight CO 10.3, SSLv3 is disabled by default, which prevents NetAppData ONTAP ETL for BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization to connect to Data ONTAP. To usethe NetApp Data ONTAP ETL with BMC TrueSight CO 10.3, you will have to first enable TLS.For more information, please refer to the NetApp documentation.

Customizing Volumes / SharesMonitoringDiscovering volumes and/or shares and collecting their performance metrics are resource-intensive actions that can create extra workload on the system. To reduce the system resourceconsumption, administrators can disable or enable the volumes and/or shares monitoring at willand fine-tune the creation of volume and/or share entities into the BMC TrueSight CapacityOptimization environment
To customize volumes/shares monitoring:1. Edit the NetApp Data ONTAP ETL for BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization Run Configuration.
2. Expand the ETL additional settings menu.
Customizing Volumes and Shares Monitoring
3. Select:
Storage - Vendor Agnostic (Recommended) if you are using several Sentry's ETLs and theStorage Capacity Views for BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization.
NetApp Specific Terminology if you want your entity types to use the NetApp terminology. Please note that this configuration is not compatible with the Storage Capacity Views forBMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization and requires NetApp Capacity Views for BMCTrueSight Capacity Optimization to be installed to benefit from the report and dataanalysis functionalities offered by Sentry Software. This configuration should thereforeonly be selected if you are not using other Sentry's ETLs.
4. From the Shares/Volumes pull-down lists, select one of the following options:
Option Result
Disabled Volumes/Shares are not discovered.Volumes/shares-related metrics are not loaded in the console.
Use this conf iguration if the number of volumes/shares to manage signif icantly slowsdown the system performance. Disabling the volumes/shares monitoring prevents thediscovery of any volumes and consequently does not allow the ETL to collect, save orprocess their data. Note that the calculation of metrics for other sources may beimpacted (see table below and reference guide).

NetApp Data ONTAP ETL for BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization leverages the NetApp DataONTAP API to collect capacity and performance metrics. Because some connectivity issues mayexist and cause NetApp Data ONTAP ETL for BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization to fail, it ishighly recommended to test the connection to the NetApp Data ONTAP API before contactingthe Sentry Support Team.
To troubleshoot connectivity issues:
1. Download the connection tool required from the Sentry Software Website (Downloadssection of your product). Please note that the connection tool requires Java v1.6 or higher.
2. Run the command java -jar NetApp-Connection-Tool_V1.0.00.jar to launch the connectiontool.
3. Enter the information required to connect to the system and click Test Connection.
4. Wait for the test to complete. If a connectivity issue is detected, an error message willappear. In this case, the issue encountered does not concern NetApp Data ONTAP ETL forBMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization. Check your configuration to diagnose the source of theissue.
5. Click Save As to export the connection test results into a txt file. You can then send thisinformation to the Sentry Support Team.
