Symptoms• Pale skin

• Chronic fatigue

• Bone pain or tenderness

• Difficulty breathing

• Rapid pulse

• Uncontrolled eye movement

• Loss of movement (paralysis)

• Profuse sweating

Statistics• Neuroblastoma affects less

than 200,000 people in the US which means it is classified as a rare disease.

• Most children are diagnosed with the disease at 5 years of age.

• Most of the primary tumors that occur are in the abdomen.

General Information

• There are about 800 new cases of neuroblastoma discovered each year in the U.S.

• Some causes of neuroblastoma are exposure to infection early in life, smoking, consumption of alcohol, and more.

• Diagnostic testing for neuroblastoma include ultra sounds, CAT scans, blood tests, urine tests, and blood marrow tests.

• It is a cancerous tumor of infants and children that develops from nerve tissue.
