I looked into his eyes and saw guilt, regret but most importantly I saw. . . love. I could not help but close the gap between usnever breaking eye-contact with him. I let



my arms circle around his neck and Ileaned up and captured his lips with mine.I could tell he was shocked at first but

after a couple of moments he responded by circling his arms around my waist and tracing his tounge on my bottom lipasking for entrance which I happily granted.

We continued to kiss for about a couple of minutes before something shiny caughtmy eye. I looked at my hand and saw mywedding ring and suddenly my mind wasbombarded with images of me and Godrictogether, smiling and laughing.

I jolted back from Edward and ran to theother side of the room all in a meersecond. Edward looked confused at mysudden outburst.

"We can't do this Edward I'm married !" Isaid whilst holding up my hand and

showing off my marriage ring.

"You were the one that kissed me and if you remember correctly, Godric was lyingto you about drinking human blood." He



defended himself.

"Okay, 1. I only kissed you because youlooked so sad and 2. Yes Godric may havelied to me but atleast I know he wouldnever leave me!" I shouted at him.

Edward hung his head and looked down athis feet. "I-I didn't want to leave you,Bella. I thought it would be better for you;I guess I was wrong." His voice soundedso. . . defeated.

It was taking all my self control not to runover to him and kiss him again but I knewI could not because of Godric.

I gave one last longing look into Edward's

eyes before I ran out of the house and intothe night.

When I finally recovered, I stood up andlooked around the forest before taking off

I had been over at the Cullen's house forabot 3 hours so it was starting to get light



again. I knew Godric would be worriedabout me but I simply could not tell himwhere I had been so I hid the scent of the

Cullen's that was all over me and walkedinto my house, where all my family waswaiting for me.

As soon as I stepped one foot into thehouse Godric had scooped me up into hisarms. "Where the hell have you been,

Bella? I've been so worried!""I was just. . .out." I told him.

"Out?! OUT?! I have been sitting here forthe past three hours worried sick aboutyou and all you can say is 'I was just out'?"He screamed at me.

I realized that his grip on me was gettingstronger and it was actually starting tohurt. "Godric. . . your hurting me." I triedto struggle to get out of his grip but hewas not moving; he was too strong. Andsince he was my maker I could never over-

power him.

He seemed to realise what he was doingand let go of me immediately. "I'm sosorry, Bella. . . so sorry. . . please forgive



me. . ." I looked up into his eyes and sawregret and sadness and I could not helpbut put my arms around him.

"It's okay, my love. I forgive you, but willyou forgive me?" A look of confusion pasthis face.

"Why do you forgiven?" He asked.

I bit my lip, I could not tell him I had been

with the Cullen's -especially Edward-because he would get really mad at that."For. . . staying out for so long and gettingyou all worried." His face ws neautral for acouple of seconds before a smile brokeacross his face and he leaned down andpulled me into a heated kiss.

When we finally broke apart we werepanting for air which we did not need, andGodric had a shit eating grin on his face."Silly Bella, there is nothing to apologisefor." He cooed, "Everyone has to take acouple of hours to therselves at some

point, but now that you are backhowabout we go upstairs and. . ." He waggledhis eyebrow at me in a sexy way and Iknew I was slung over his shoulder and hewas running upstairs, to our bedroom.



The only thought tht was running throughmy head was 'this does not feel right'. . .

Epov:

I can't believe Bella kissed me! I was sohappy to know that she still had feelingsfor me, she may not have said it to myface but I could read it in her eyes.

Bella had just ran away from me but Iknew she needed time to sort through herthoughts, so I let her run.

My family came home about an hour laterto find me still standing in the same spotin a type of trance. Emmett was the first

to break the silence, "So. . . did ya getlaid?" That seemed to snap me out of mytrance and I let a growl escape my mouth.

"Emmett, just stay out of this and keepyour mouth shut." I snapped at him. He uphis hands in mock surender and I just

glared at him.I looked over the rest of my family andsaw the curious looks they were giving mewhich ment that they all wanted to know



what happened. So I told them everythingthat happened starting from when theyhad left.

By the time I had finished telling themAlice was jumping up and down andclapping her hands like a five year old onChristmas morning.

"Oh you two are so going to get togetheragain!" She squeled.

"Alice, I wouldn't go that far, she is stillvery upset that I left her and she is inlovewith Godric too." I stated and she pouted.

"I hate not being able to see her futurethat way I would know who she was going

to pick." She mumbled whilst everyoneelse chuckled and Jasper wrapped hisarms around her. I sighed whilst looking atthem, wishing I coud be like that withBella again but I knew it was not thatsimple. We had to build up ourrelationship.
