1.2 Design and Attributesi. Vessel Layout:The vessel is laid out to include a fore peak anchor tank, one sleeping cabin with two bunks, one toilet room, one shower space, one medical equipment storageroom, one small galley space, one temporary medical treatment bed room, one mess room and one machinery room in the hull while the deckhouse is laid outto accommodate the ergonomically designed console station, six crew seating and spacious crew maneuvering space as per stated in the GA drawings. ii. Hull Form:The hull form is well proven and will be double-chined, deep-keeled, variable deadrise deep V planing form incorporating with a fine forward entry, flared bow, wide and slightly down-angle chine flats, lifting strakes/spray rails, planing flats and low L/B ratio on the main chines. The bottom lines are semi-planing in formand will slightly rise up from the forward towards the stern. iii. Strong Bow Protection:The bow will be structurally reinforced to enhance abrasion resistance and then to be outer-fixed with heavy-duty rubber fendering in order to ensure that the bowstructure can absorb all loads/impacts transmitted and to give good seagoing abilities, ensuring extremely strong protection. iv. Attributes:The vessel will be designed to provide the following attributes:

1) Shall be sea going and capable of undertaking sea voyages under its own power atany design loaded condition and draught.2) Shall be capable of working in juridical waters, regardless of sheltered, unsheltered or open seas with waves upto Douglas state five.3) Shall offer stable platform with all-around manuevering quality on the whole deck.4) Shall be applicable for good day helm visibility.5) Shall have good manoeuvrability in all defined conditions and low noise at all speeds.6)  Shall offer a structural life span of 15 years under normal operations and reasonablemaintenance, allowing for 1200 running hours of average annual usage withunlimited operating hours/ day.

 v. Operation Conditions:The vessel and equipment package will be suitable for operation in tropical weather conditions in the western African sea, detailed as below:Ambient Air Temp.: Max 52 deg. CSalinity: Max 42 pptSeawater Temp.: Max 35 deg. CRelative Humidity: Max 90%Simultaneous extreme conditions: 42 deg. C & 85%RHAs special note, max. speed at open throttle may be slightly reduced due to impact to performance in max. power output of the two main engines when atextreme weather with sea water temperature higher than 35 deg. C. 1.3 Compliance and SurveyThe vessel is to be surveyed to latest Rules and Regulations for the Classification of Lloyd’s Register, notated as Special Service Craft, Patrol, G3 Service Group. As such, the vessel will be designed and built for patrol mission in restricted service area of waters with reasonable weather as defined by Lloyd’s Register, andgenerally the range to refuge is no more than 150 nautical miles in winter.  Furthermore, the vessel shall comply with the requirements of main class for stability purposes of the Lloyd’s Register “Rules for the Classification of SpecialService Craft” applicable to G3 navigation zone. For purposes of structural design the worst intended conditions will be defined as 1 m significant wave height at 34 knots cruising speed, or maximum lightweightspeed in 0.4 m significant wave height, whichever is the more onerous condition. As preliminary only and subject to final approval by purchaser, the statutory rule is designed to follow MCA MGN280 for Small Vessels in Commercial Use,Operation Category Area A1 which covers same navigation zone as defined by G3 Service Group of Lloyd’s Register, also equal to navigation zone covered byGMDSS Area A2. The Builder will appoint an approved Surveyor to carry out survey inspections during construction and testing as per Survey requirements. 1.4 Quality and ControlThe shipyard is accredited to ISO 9001:2008 which is certified by RINA and CCS, both are  members of International Association of Classification Societies(IACS). 1.5 DocumentsThe following documents will be used for the construction of the vessel:• Design Document Package• Vessel Specification Document• Survey regulations as determined.• Components suppliers documentation.In the event the drawings differ from this specification, the specification will take precedence. As Built Drawings:One set of drawings as per normal boat building practises will be supplied in English language upon the vessel completion corrected to ‘As Built’ as follows:• General Arrangement,• Hull Construction,• Superstructure Construction,• Rudder Construction,• Arrangement of Machinery Spaces,• Deck Plan, Structural Installations & Arrangement of Doors & Windows,• Construction Plan of Main Engines & Gear Box Seating,• Shafting Arrangement & Propeller Plan,

In such cases the Builder will discuss the proposal with the Purchaser, and obtain the Purchaser’s approval prior toproceeding with the alternative. Equipment marked “or equal” may be substituted for equivalent quality items, subject to approval by the Designer and the Purchaser. 1.8 Weight ControlThe builder is to be responsible for maintaining strict weight control throughout the project, with constant reference to the designer-supplied weight study. Thebuilder is to advise the designer any items of equipment or fit out which are significantly different from the allowance made for in the weight estimate. The builder will also weigh the following components/stages when completed and providethe results of LCG/mass to the designer:1. Completed Hull shell.2. Completed Deck.3. Completed internal structure.4. Completed Boat.Depending on build process, these weight measurements may take the form ofadditions/deductions from previous weights.
