Centrals is most proud of the growth and development of the Yagahong Alliance, which is the joint venture that Centrals are in with the Yugunga Nya people who are the traditional owners of the land north east of Meekatharra. During this period we have been able to increase the percentage of Aboriginal people working for the Yagahong Alliance at the Degrussa Mine Site from 15% to 82%.

The 3 year contract with Sandfire Resources has also enabled the Yugunga - Nya Trust to be able to purchase $1.5 million worth of equipment. As a result the Yugunga Nya people were able to increase their share in the joint venture by a further 10% during this period.

Sandfire Resources have consistently complimented the Yagahong Alliance on the safety, quality, responsiveness and reliability of the service that the onsite team provides. The onsite team are strong and are prepared to speak up if any member of the team who are not upholding their standards.

To date they have also successfully completed 2.5 years onsite with no recordable or lost time injuries being incurred.
