New District Guide
Mid-Atlantic District
Welcome to the Mid-Atlantic District!
In Ohio, where I live, there is a garden center near our home that is closed during the winter months and reopens on the first day of spring. Prior to the opening, there are signs posted in the front of the center that state: Seven weeks till spring˝ … Six weeks till spring˝ … Five weeks till spring˝ … four, three, two … You guessed it, the final sign says: Spring is here. We are open!˝ That’s the way I am feeling about the Mid-Atlantic District! If I had a sign in front of our new office, it would say, The store is open!˝
God says it like this: See, I am doing a new thing. Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?˝ (Isa. 43:19, NIV, emphasis added). I AM is doing the new thing in our district. I AM is creating, forming, shaping the new thing.
You have been discipled, mentored and coached by the best of the best! Daniel Brown, Jim Cooper, Dale Evrist, Steve Smith, Art Snow and Dave Wing have led you admirably, with prophetic anointing.
We are a unique district in many ways. What other district is home to our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C.? We have a prayerful responsibility to sow life into this city and to see His transforming power reach into our government offices and influence our elected officials.
Our first district conference will be November 2-4 in Pittsburgh. What a celebration that will be! Whether you prefer sweet tea, organic Serena citrus, or black coffee, we’ll be thrilled to serve you. The conference plan will be relationally building and professionally renewing.
Yes, the Mid-Atlantic District store˝ is open, and your team at the district office is ready to host you. We anticipate great joy together, serving Jesus, who reminds us today: I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest˝ (John 4:35). Let’s glean the fields together and serve this generation!

Wide open! This simple, yet profound statement taken from Revelation 3:8, expresses the theme of Connection, our 2009 Foursquare convention. It also reflects our anticipation of God’s purposes for The Foursquare Church as we boldly follow Him into a new season of fruitful ministry worldwide.
The familial relationship in The Foursquare Church and the bond of trust we share have brought us to an exciting place in our church’s history. We are officially launching 14 new districts that are led by newly appointed supervisors who will lead our ministers and ministries into the Lord’s harvest.
As you read the information in this brochure relating to the launch of your new district, please do so with great care and intercession. Pray for your newly installed district supervisor and for the other district supervisors who will lead our ministers and ministries into the Lord’s harvest.
There is no finer hour to serve the Lord in the Foursquare family than today. As never before our collective commitment is to partner toward a common mission of reaching, resourcing and releasing leaders to God’s full potential. As we set our hearts to mobilize the next generation and equip emerging leaders for the work of the ministry, we know you sense the passion of God to do everything possible so these leaders mature into effective and successful ministers of the Gospel.
Our continued prayer is that the launch of your new district will bring about health and vitality to your region, your community and to your local assembly of believers.
