We always strive to improve heating efficiency so that we can save as much energy as possible. Contura i4 has been developed in that tradition, with Swedish concern for both design and technology.

Contura i4 is designed for Builders Opening, which makes it ideal to install in older houses during renovation. A high positioned damper and handle make it easy to manage the fire. The cast iron door is solid and easy to open and close. The ash pan has a large capacity and is easy to empty. The efficient firebox with convection heating means that you get a lot of heat out of the fuel, whether you burn wood or smokeless fuel.

We wanted to preserve the feel of the old house we bought, but not live in a museum. Saving the old woodwork was obvious, but we wanted to give the old coal-burning stove a modern and discrete style. It should be obvious that it is modern and has efficient technology! The large glass door lets the beautiful fire really come into its own. The heat output actually surprised us, and it’s a bonus that it can be fired in such an environmentally friendly way.

I really have a passion for our traditions and go mad at flea markets and in antique shops. Why buy new and mass-produced when there are so many beautiful, old things of much better quality? There are limits however, our forefathers were not superior at everything. How lucky then that it is possible to combine good, old tradition with new and better technology, without losing the English classical expression.

Light with the environment in mindEverything we do has an impact on the environment in some way. Today, we often have the opportunity to influence to what extent. One way to contribute to a reduced environmental impact when choosing a stove is to choose one that is made in an environmentally friendly way.

Contura stoves are manufactured according to Sweden's toughest environmental standards for production and use. The product can be recycled without the spread of toxic substances. The requirements for efficient combustion are also high. It is during combustion that unhealthy particulates and hydrocarbons are formed. Contura stoves are CO2-neutral, because the carbon dioxide produced during the efficient combustion of bioenergy is taken up in the corre-sponding quantity when new trees are growing. By lighting, you get a natural supporting heat, which relieves the load on the house's main heating. It benefits both you and the environment.

Easy to fit, easy to like

Contura i4 is available in three versions: Modern for own recessing, Classic and Modern for installation in Builders Opening. The inserts consist of a convection box and a firebox. The convection box is easy to install, adjust and connect to the chimney, either straight up or at a 45° angle diagonally backwards. It is also possible to con-

nect outdoor air for combustion. The firebox is docked inside the box and can be lifted out without affecting the chimney installation. Effective convection technology makes heating quick. Contura i4 is approved for use in Smokeless zones.

Attention to detailContura places great importance on design and function, down to the smallest detail. The cast iron door can withstand the heat and stay air-tight so you have full control of the fire. Several other parts are also made of cast iron: the frames, the hearth bottom, grate and wood support. High positioned handle and damper makes it easy to manage the fire. On the Clas-sic models the handle is integrated in the door, on the Modern models it is removable. Most attractive with or without? you decide!

The stainless steel ash pan is large and does not need frequent emptying, perfect for those who usually use smokeless fuel.
