20 MINUTES CIRCLE TIME Students gather to pray, share, read-aloud, engage in rhythm and music, review the calendar, and discuss the weather. 30 MINUTES LEARNING GROUP Students gather as s large group to be guided in a variety of different style activities that enhance their literacy and math skills. 25 MINUTES FREE PLAY Students self-select which areas of the classroom they wish to explore; dramatic play opportunities are available. 25 MINUTES CREATIVE LEARNING Students engage in different process and product style art projects using a variety of mediums and tools to discover and encourage their creativity. 30 MINUTES CLOSING ACTIVITIES Students gather to discuss and reflect on the day and close with a read-aloud and song; then spend time outdoors on the playground. 25 MINUTES FREE PLAY & SNACK Daily Schedule KINDERGARTEN READINESS TABLE PLAY 20 MINUTES Different activities are set out with an invitation for students to self- select which they wish to play with and explore upon arrival. Our full-day Kindergarten Readiness preschool program inspires 4-5 year olds to wonder, discover, create, and excel. This class is reserved for students who are ready for a full-day experience. We support emerging skills and stimulate the growth of the whole child by balancing playful and hands-on-learning with individual, small and large group instruction. This schedule includes both student-centered and teacher-directed learning activities and lessons. The length of time listed is an estimate and may be adjusted at the teacher's discretion to accommodate student needs or special events. Educational field trips are also offered as an important learning opportunity. 50 MINUTES SPECIALS Students attend gym class every day. After, they enjoy music class or library time (on alternating days). 15 MINUTES MORNING SNACK Students gather to eat a snack that one of their friends brought in for everyone to share. 60 MINUTES RECESS & LUNCH Students participate in outside recess if the weather cooperates and then can choose between a hot or cold lunch in the cafeteria. They can bring their lunch if they wish. 30 MINUTES REST / QUIET TIME Students rest quietly on cots supplied by the school, followed by quiet time play activities. 40 MINUTES LEARNING STATIONS Students gather in three rotating small groups (teacher led, assistant guided, and independent) to explore hands-on learning activities that focus on and develop skills in language, mathematics, and fine motor skills. Students self-select which areas of the classroom they wish to explore; dramatic play opportunities are available.
