Editor’s Report

New Members

Hey !! Didn’t we just do this last week, or was it tha week before ? Wow time is just zippin’ by, and its Mag time again . Let’s see if I can get this one out in some timely fashion. You know, I have friends in the USA whom have told me that there is a society that is looking into the fact that “time” is getting shorter or is compressing ,not that it shows on any type of clock but we can no-tice the difference, or is it because technology is speeding up and I’m getting old? Barry! Leave it alone! Any way, I am all for technology, I can see myself cruisin in my Thunderbird with no wheels or gas guzzling big block but some kind of ultra magnetic motors that have me hovering down the highway! Hey! do they come with white walls ?? If you have seen the movie 5th Element you’d know what I mean. Anyhow, back at ground zero check out Johnny’s Corner and our “back page girl” this issue, I’m sure “Vincent Price” would approve. KRUISIN. Ed.

Bill’s Breaky Bash

Bellbird Grove - Mt Nebo

Bills Breaky Bash, headed to Bellbird Grove on Mt Nebo again this year. What a beautiful

bush setting away from the hussle and bussle of city life. The run was treated to a beautiful, sunny summer’s morning. It was heading for quite a hot day but there was a nice breeze blowing through the picnic shelter that kept everyone cool and out of the direct sun. Barry cooking up a another storm this year took out best dressed and certainly most colourful. Barry always adds a bit of cheerfulness that sets the day up for a few laughs. It was an enjoy-able cruise with lots of great conver-sations going on.

After many months of hard work, Doug and Sandra had their 63 Thunderbird Landau along on their first club run. They thoroughly en-joying having their classic Thunder-bird on the road. Craig and Karin Roberts were along with their young Grandson Nate. He loves classics, especially the ones with the horse on the front, he reckons those ones are good, and loves to travel with poppy. Must be a budding Mustang man!!

Craig’s clever installation of the child seat restraining bolts with interior colour matched co-vers looked as if they were an original Thunderbird option. The football got a kick around, and the Frisbee a toss or three… With the smell of eggs and bacon cooking in the background and a temptation of a cup of coffee with one of Libby’s awesome cupcakes, what could be better? They went down a treat. It is always great to see Tony and Jay out in their sweet Sahara Rose 1960 Thun-derbird. We certainly have to get all the Square Birds together one day as we have a great collec-tion in the club. Thanks to everyone for coming along, and making it another good reason to cruise those classics on a lazy summer’s morning… keep those classics on the road.. Kieran
