How to fund your study

Depending on your circumstances you may qualify for free or discounted study. Our welfare team can advise you on your eligibility.

Adult Learner Support Funds If you’re aged 19 or over, on a further education course and a low income, you may be able to get Learner Support. You can apply through the college who will assess your circumstances and advise if you are eligible.

Accommodation and travel

This can help with the cost of things like: Childcare

Advanced Learner Loan

If you are aged 19 or over and are looking to study a course Level 3 or above, you will be able to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to pay for course fees. You will not have to pay anything back until you are earning £1,615 per month or over.

If you study an Access to Higher Education course and go on to successfully complete a degree course, then your Advanced Learner Loan will be written off.
