There is a huge gap between most schools and churches in New Zealand. So Young Life has been strategically placed in East Auckland to empower, build, and unite local churches by providing quality youth work at local high schools. It looks like church-based “youth workers,” trained in YL principles, helping teenagers reach their full potential, with no strings attached. Workers then invite kids to church youth groups, where YL Club principles are applied. So this YL Expedition is very strategic, as the team will be joining Kiwi students for summer camp Work Crew & Summer Staff. The team will help the NZ staff by talking about and modeling this key part of YL camp for the church youth workers. Before camp, the team will also get to visit

Hobbiton and explore the beauty of both north and south islands!

How do I sign up? Please register directly here by creating an account on Managed Missions and select your trip code - XNZ01. Non-refundable deposits of $500 per person are due at the time of

registration by sending a check payable to Young Life (“EX900, XNZ01, and participant name” in memo; mail to CDS - ATTN: Young Life, 2286 Crosswind Dr, Ste A, Prescott, AZ 86301) or

paying online after registering in Managed Missions. You’ll be sent instructions for paying online after registering. Once you have paid your deposit, Megan will send you airfare options.

Team minimum size is 5 people. If that minimum isn’t met by Nov 1, the trip itself may be cancelled or costs may change - deposits can be refunded if this occurs.

Travel Insurance: Our complimentary travel insurance covers trip delays, lost luggage, emergency medical or security evacuations. More details on complimentary insurance can be found here.

Fundraising and Trip Info: We use Managed Missions, an online portal that will allow you to create a fundraising page with a bio and description to send via email or post on social media! It also provides all the information you need for your trip.

Financial Schedule: Nov 1, 2018 - Deposit of $500 due. Dec 1, 2018 - Fundraising goal of $1500 due. Dec 15, 2018 - Fundraising goal of $1500 is due.

Young Life Expedition‘s Cancellation and Refund Policy:

**Trip Cancellation insurance is recommended and can be purchased here.

Every effort will be made to recoup funds raised or paid by trip participants in the event of a cancellation based on legitimate circumstances (e.g. illness, injury, family emergency). However, Young Life Expeditions cannot guarantee recovery of all funds.

If a trip participant must withdraw from an Expedition for other reasons, within four weeks of departure, any funds raised or paid will remain within their team's account which is under the discretion of Young Life Expeditions. Deposit is non-refundable after December 1, 2018. Funds paid for air travel are subject to the policies of the particular airline and/or travel agent. In most cases air travel is non-refundable.
