Fortunately, the Board has not lost the services and expertise of its founding president, Phil Richards as he will continue to head the Board as Chairman. Ann Newton was elected to fill my old spot as Vice President. I am very excited to take on this new challenge. Part of my responsibility will be the day-to-day operations, working with our executive coordinator Janet and our membership development consultant Debbie, and with the dedicated Board members that give so much of their time to see that we continue to provide you with the services that you want – rides when you need them, opportunities to meet new people at our social activities, and help at home. One of my favorite sayings came to me on the wrapper of a Dove Bar. It says, “Keep the promises you make to yourself.” I have promised myself to do the best job I know how to do as President of your Board. I welcome your suggestions and comments. Let the library know what categories and/or authors you like:

• fiction • biography • romance • mystery • history • short stories • classics • science fiction • and more

Then, as often as you like, the library will send you selections from their collection.
